I don't agree. There is a major morale nerfing that has happened in this patch. Aside from that, I think it is a very good patch. In fact all of their patches except this one, to me, have been big improvements.

Ok, I've played a few games now with .049 and this problem has been in every one of them. Something is worng with morale. It has been nerfed to the point that it can be cranked to near 100% the whole time, without any modifiers. It's got a major problem. In fact, since the game first came out, to me this is by far the worst problem I've seen. I am putting the game down until it fixed. I guess you can still get some enjoyment out of it but it's just that it's bad enough that it throws the
I remember when I first started playing this game and it was a challenge, a fun one at that, to keep the people happy. Then I read it got nerfed a while back and I noticed that it got definitely easier to keep high. But after the .049 patch, it seems like I can have it jacked to up to almost 100% tax and every planet is at least 40 morale if not higher. Did this get nerfed again or is it a bug?
This a new bug I haven't seen yet. I'm near the beginning of a game. I have contact the Scottinggas and Kwilasians(sp?) and no major races. I had exchanged some tech with the Scottingas and then I left the screen. Then the minor races were gone. It was like I had no contact with any of them. I exited the screen and came back in, still the same. I realized that if I click the "Relations" tab and then "Minor races" then they come back, but when I go in there to talk to them, the race icon t
Another bug that has been around since the first release. The "Overall" stat is next to always wrong. You can be in 1st and 2nd place in all of the individual stats but have an overall rating of 8th. I don't see how this can't be a bug.
There is still a small bug in that you sometimes don't get a message box saying a race has been eliminated by cultural influence. You get something saying a planet of theirs defected, but if that is their last planet then on the next turn they quietly drop out of the game. Every other type of elimination of a race seems to let you know.
I am not color blind. Can I send somebody a screen print? I want someone to agree with me that I am not. The arcean planets and ships are yellow, only the sector influcence color on the mini-map is green, the same shade as the orians sector influence color.
No way.... They are the same color on my screen and I don't have any problems in any other game. That is very odd.
Would it be possible to change the sector colors of the Torians and the Arcean to not be the same? At least for me they look identical, both a shade of green. Obviously you can always go to the sector and click the button but it seems like an easy fix.
I've noticed that you can created a trade route from your star A to an alien star B multiple times. They each count in your trade route list. But if you got a nice long trade route you can use the same one for all of your routes! Is this a bug?
I know Frogboy comes out with A.I. fixes almost every day and that is outstanding. Never have I seen such support for a game. So beleive me, I not complaining when I ask if any of the non A.I. fixes will be done soon? The bug thread is huge and I am sure there are many entries that are non A.I. related. If someone can give some kind of listing of what is being worked on out of that thread it would be great. Number 1 on my list would be the handling of negative numbers in the
The negative number handling in this game seems to be causing all kinds of strange behavior. Take the rankings given in stats for example. I swear they are not working correctly, especially the "Overall" one. You can be 1st and 2nd in every individual stat and be 3rd in overall! Plus you and 3 other races might be 3rd. Negative numbers for sure affect the graphs too. Sometimes you get an outrageuos graph for treasury because at some point you went below zero. Not good.
You mean you can still see ships after they leave your sensor range (except for maybe the invisible thing that this thread is about)? How long can you see them, for the rest of the game? What is the ponit of having a fog of war or sensor ranges at all if this is true. Ugh.
So the one by one attack is just as effective as a big 64 at once attack? If so I guess the A.I. is doing the right thing. Kinda of monatonous to see 64 corvettes get blown away but hey it works.
The Torians got the event where they finds a ton of corvette-class ships. A few turns later, I find him attacking my planet with 64 corvettes! I would be thinking cool except for one thing. He attacked my planet one ship at a time!!! I had to sit there and watch every corvette get killed by the one dreadnought I had defending the planet. I guess my big question is, wouldn't his attack have been much stronger if he would have hit me with all 64 corvettes at once instead of watching each one
Many references indicate that this game is written in C++. Most games are written in C++ it seems with some small assembler language modules where needed.
Declare war suggestion/bug: When the votes are fairly close in the senate for declaring war on a civilization, you can keep trying to declare over and over again on the same turn until finally luck goes your way. I think you should only be allowed one attempt to turn (per civ) to declare war.
I'd probably consider this a bug. When the votes are fairly close in the senate for declaring war on a civilization, you can keep trying to declare over and over again on the same turn until finally luck goes your way. I think you should only be allowed one attempt to turn (per civ) to declare war.
bump, yet again...... :( :( :( :(
bump again. Wondering why a Frogboy or another DEV hasn't commented on this yet. Anybody else reading this think this is a good question? I am surpirsed no one else has brought this issue up with the fog of war. :(
I was just wondering if this is a bug or a "by-design" feature. When alien planets are in the fog of war, you can see the ships they have in orbit. Once they leave orbit they then become invisble until they come out of the fog. I think the only exception would be when you have Eye of Universe and then you can see everything. Is this a bug that you can see orbiting ships or was it by design? To me it seems like it almost defeats the prupose of even having a fog of war. Anoth
That is a good question. I wish there was a max population stat or maybe an "optimal" population stat. It is important to know even if though you may never reach the population maximum, but if you are above some "optimal" amount then your morale suffers.
bump
It seems you can have more than one "capital" per race though. If you take over someone else's capital, it seems you can still create with one of the planets that you own, hence having two. I wonder if this will be addressed as well.
