A small easy fix....

Would it be possible to change the sector colors of the Torians and the Arcean to not be the same? At least for me they look identical, both a shade of green. Obviously you can always go to the sector and click the button but it seems like an easy fix.

Wow MrChoke...you may want to see the ol' eye doctor or adjust the monitor. To me, at least, they're very clearly yellow and green.

No way.... They are the same color on my screen and I don't have any problems in any other game. That is very odd.

They look fairly similar to me as well, and I am not color blind. (Just checked 3 weeks ago to get new glasses!)

However, they are only slightly similar, not the same. It's a pretty minor gripe for me.

Wow! They are clearly very different to me, one is yellow the other is green. Perhaps something wrong with the hardware?
BUT, I would still love to see option to change the colour of any race.

i read on usenet that since the base colors are red green blue in light, it confuses some people with certain types of colorblindness.

I am not color blind. Can I send somebody a screen print? I want someone to agree with me that I am not. The arcean planets and ships are yellow, only the sector influcence color on the mini-map is green, the same shade as the orians sector influence color.

It would be great if all colors were configurable. I am color blind and have trouble with some colors in the game.

I too find them very similar in color, and would like a greater distinction. But it's also a minor issue that hasn't interfered with my enjoyment of the game so far.

FWIW: I'm also playing on a laptop which could help account for tit.

I hate to drag us further OT but...
You normally don't get checked for colour blindness during an eye exam. Did they have you look at a series of plates with different coloured dots on them? The standard test is 20 plates. Many people have a minor degree of difficulty and might get only 19, or 18, right. It's a spectrum. I only ever get 19, guess I'll never be an astronaut. :)
By the way, I find the colours similar

Well, what _I_'ve noticed is that the little colored dots for the _Altarian_, not the Arcean, and Torian ships look very much like. You know, the dots that appear on the mini-map when you click on "show ships". On the big map, all the races are sufficiently different. I certainly second the motion to allow color customizability. I'm certain that this wouldn't be considered a priority fix, so it could happen at some point in the not-too-distant future.
