So, what *is* the maximum population on any given world?

At the moment, I have not noticed any convenient way to determine when a planet is considered overpopulated or not. And have no clue as to whether the size of the planet graphic in the system view is relevant or not for determining planetary population.

And just what is the maximum population for any given world? I understand that it is based on planet quality (at least)

Unless you have acquired seven morale resources, each giving +54% morale, you need not worry yourself over this, since you'll never hit max pop anyway. And AFAIK, the graphic planet size is irrelevant.

Load some pop onto transports; these can be used in invasions, or to boost pop of new worlds.

That is a good question. I wish there was a max population stat or maybe an "optimal" population stat. It is important to know even if though you may never reach the population maximum, but if you are above some "optimal" amount then your morale suffers.

I'm not so sure, I thought I saw the planet graphic change upon buying a planetary improvement (soil enhancement). Now of course I could have been hallucinating due to sleep deprivation. :)
