If you ally with someone who is allied to your NEW ally..how does the alliance work if someone gets attacked? In my latest game, only Me, the Altarians and the Arceans are left. The two have been allied for awhile. I recently allied with the ALtarians. What would happen if the Arceans attacked me? DOc

If I may add... I NEVER played MOO anything. SOme of us bought GalCiv because of Galciv. And from what I've read, there still isn't a successor to MOO1 which appears to be the best of the 3. I HATE RTS games. If this game had clickfest ship combat I wouldn't have bought it. The combat as is DOES require strategy in how you use you ships...most of the people saying it doesn't appear to be playing on low difficulty where it's easy to get huge fleets on the spot and waste t

I thought the windows version allowed for higher res...I want to know if it can be installed on one machine, one windows install, on another HD. The game works without a windows install which is why I asked. When I reinstalled WXP the other day the game on the D:\ still worked just fine without a reinstall. Doc

I also had an unexplained crash to the desktop last night...nothing special about what was happening. It was my first full play attempt with the retail version. I was just cliking out of a planet screen when it went to the desktop. Doc

Somehow, last nights downloads and installs caused a major CPU problem for me. I lost the NTLDR file, and could not boot. I also could not restore my C: drive so I had to reinstall WindowsXP. My Galciv was on my D drive. I deleted it, and tonight proceeded to download Galciv again...after forever..it failed to install. DOn't ask me why! Anyways, I took restored Galciv from the trash and it appears to work just fine. BUT the STardock program doesn't recognize it...is there anyway I can get

GREAT...Chat caused an IE error, everything closed down AND the install DID NOT pick up where it left off...this has NOT been my night..and of course the download rate is 1/4 of what it was crusing at! 50megs down the drain....oh well... :sniff!:

I reinstalle Stardock to my C: drive. Now it is downloading. There appears to be a problem with Stardock installing to the D drive. Like I said, I set my install paths to D:\ whatever...but the erro message shows that Stardock did not see it and left it at C:. Really wanted it on the D: drive but I'll take it! Gonna take awhile though (:( Doc
