Frogboy....Here's my problem, what can I do if anything....

Somehow, last nights downloads and installs caused a major CPU problem for me. I lost the NTLDR file, and could not boot. I also could not restore my C: drive so I had to reinstall WindowsXP. My Galciv was on my D drive. I deleted it, and tonight proceeded to download Galciv again...after forever..it failed to install. DOn't ask me why! Anyways, I took restored Galciv from the trash and it appears to work just fine. BUT the STardock program doesn't recognize it...is there anyway I can get it to? I don't want to redownload and fail again. ANy ideas? I'll probably wait for the CD...which I don't know if I'm getting or not, (I ordered the entire Drengin.net pack before), to reistall at this point. ANyhelp would be appreciated.

I think you know what I'm going to say. I am pretty sure that you will be stuck having to download it.

But if it's working, I'd just wait for the CD. Once you have the Cd, you can always install from that and then only download what's new.

Are people that ordered the WHole Dregnin package and the beta going to get the cd? I can't figure out who is and isn't. I haven't received a email asking if I wanted a cd, so I assume that means I am? LOL
Thanks

We're going to let them get the CD sent to them as well.

Thnakyou...I am trying another DL now, seems a bit speedier. Just wish the MMpack had downloaded to a file!

We're working on increasing bandwidth further.

We currently have over 30 megabits now dedicated just to downloads. The challenge we're running up against is that up until say 2 or 3 weeks ago, GalCiv was relatively, well, obscure. So 30 megabits was vastly more than we could ever imagine needing.

Check out this graph:

That is our traffic for the past year.

Hmm, that didn't work too well.

Basically the graph shows the traffic for galciv.com. We are ranked today by Alexa in the top 7000 websites worldwide. It's just incredible.
