:holds out hand, opening/closing his fist:: Free meaningless internet points, plz. [e digicons]:P[/e] That being said, Cracked isn't really slapstick, is it? I always read their articles because they would take very real, explicit, serious issues and make funny jokes about them! I would have thought he'd be perfect for this adult, serious-funny take on the universe! Some

Well, this conversation has died within one day. I guess I'll put my critique of the opening cinematic here, then: Direct Response to the Intro-Animatic: Star Control II humor, misunderstood. Name one scene in SCII that was goofy, silly bumbling around like a silly, silly clown trying to catch a big, silly red ball, but bumbling it from hand to hand, never really catching it but bumping it back up into the air, while his big ol' c
This thread right now... Honestly, I don't care. However, her 2D arched back pose makes her look like she's thrusting her chest at you. Is that the look that SD is going for?
My God, truer words have never been spoken! Thank you, IBN, you'

I'd like to see her with much smaller boobs in the drawing. This is legitimate spaceflight, they're bulging out quite a bit. It seems a bit exploitative in their current form and the focus of the drawing. We're past that, guys! The 3d model has a much subtler chest.

There's not a lot of meat in this month's update. The planets look infinitely better already, and more realistic which I am super pleased about. As I've said before, the planets were actually the ONLY realistic looking part of SCII and I was a bit turned off by how insane and weird they looked from orbit. Always wanted them to GET weird at the ground level, but look like a planet from space. And I feel like that's happening, so I'm excited! MUCH less cartoony, and
I will say that I am highly against any type of stat based upgrade, alt loadouts should completely change the functionality of a ship and perhaps give a visual indicator that it is altered allow for counterplay.
A less rigid system will give you players who "main" a given class character ship. Having hard counters will mix the gameplay up more and will force me to be skilled at using all ships rather than a subsection. I don't care about

I disagree - the rigidity of the ships' capabilities is what CREATES tactical depth. Know thine enemy. Learn how to counteract it. If you've got the Dreadnaught in your repertoire and you go up against the Cruiser - pick a different one, maybe a Spathi to outrun those missiles? Or an Ilwrath to cloak and lose the missiles. And if you see you're going up against a Dreadnaught, choose the Cruiser! This is the point. It's not like there are 3 ships to choose fr
Right now if the ships are too rigid in design and hyper melee is a 1v1 match up then you will get into situation where it simply becomes a rock paper and scissor match.
But that's the whole point. It IS Rock Paper Scissors! If your enemy brings out an Urquan Dreadnaught, which ship will you use? That's the point!</

Haha, yes, you are correct - newborn in the house! Born October 22nd at 10:50am. But I had to pop on and show my non-support for timed battles! Don't do it! Just be dealt about how you build the ships and the powers you give them. It'll work out just fine! And you're right again, I won't be doing MP much. But still want to be able to employ my own strategy, instead of rushing! Okay, vanishing into the mist again.
