The phamshyt doesn't look like a snail or other mollusk to you, IBN? What's that's thing on the left? Not a shell? Also, Phamysht.... Man, that name. I mean, I think I get it - a play on the word "famished" and maybe they're even hungry all the time? But that raises the question - why would they name THEMSELVES based on a weird alternate spelling of an English word, a language they don't know and have never come across? Or if they did come across such a word,
But then, how else is everyone gonna know they were here first?
See? Now that we talked about it, not only does everyone know we were here day-of, but they have all these posts referring to our previous, long-winded posts, and everyone will scroll up! It's a win-win! Besides, it's not about you guys, or everyone knowing we were here first... it's that I want the developers to know I support them, and
Just being dumb, don't mind us ;) It's just to make sure our incredibly long-winded posts don't get buried in the tide of other posts on here. Scroll up and see above, it's not just a reservation anymore ;)
Oh my God - there's one incredibly urgent thing that MUST change right away. The 7th planet type. A lush, earth-like world. I don't care what it takes to include this in the base game, this must be included. Trees and rivers and mountain ranges and lakes. Like the Forest world that somehow got cut?!? No, this must exist. Someplace teeming with life, and hospitable. If there's anything we've learned over the last few years of science - it's that habitable blue planets are m
What's your favorite part of Star Control:Origins so far? Tough choice! I would say it's between the story portion so far and the planetary exploration. I am really excited to see all of the systems coming together.
Hahaha! I find that pretty funny - you came up with a question, posed it to yo
I pretty much agree on all points. I hate those planets... and the planetary exploration concept video a couple months ago outright made me physically nauseous. The exaggerated look, especially from space, needs to be dialed way, way back IMO. Maybe planets should look more "realistic" until a scan is performed, revealing exaggerated details in more of a "holographic" style?
I think t
The afternoon of December 31st. Late afternoon ;)
Also, I know the answer to your very first question on the list, IBN: An umbrella and a whoopee cushion!
I think you'll like this one: What, specifically, have we effected during the course of the Founder's program...?
While some may find that disappointing - I THINK, personally, that he's hinting that there still may be something (or someone) interesting to find on a gas giant somewhere!!! Lest we forget the Slylandro, my children....

Also, could we get some wings or tentacles added to the Scryve? And are they robots? Partial-robots? And what are those orbs for?
Will the main antagonist be purely (boringly) evil? Evil for evil's sake? Or will there be fathomable and unfathomable shades of gray? Because really, only the Dnyarri could be considered evil. The other "evil" races? They could be called self-preservationists, issuing Dark Forest strikes against races that may one day challenge and ultimately enslave them. They could be called religious fanatics, misguided by other races into pursuing extermination of other races to appease the gods. The

^ BLASPHEMER! IBN, you strike that man's questions from the record!
Will there be true, unsolvable Mysteries, like in the original? I.e. What happened to the Androsynth? Where did the Orz come from? Where'd the precursors go? And like Maanvis touched on - why did the bridge turn purple? I don't want to KNOW. I want to spend the next 5 years of my life (or 25) speculating.
I want to ask some things. I've been thinking about this a lot. 1) So, the universe is the same, but the VERSION of the universe is an offshoot from our own history, diverging from a different point in time than SCII. But still, humans on earth and that stars have had their names for decades/centuries already in 2016. In SC:O Will our closest star be the Centauri constellation, just like in real life? TFB doesn't own or have any right to the Centauri constellation, it's co
Um, unless "Mattheus" is the name for "Matthew" in whatever country you live in. In that case, I like it.
