Well, I'm playing the Dreadnaught Alpha. I got picked up to test. They still have openings for testers.
I find myself in disbelief but I agree with you whole heartedly. I like to play morally ambiguous. If I'm out toodling in my space craft and I run into Zebulon who just happens to be asshole in my opinion, I should not have an entire race after me because I killed him/her/it. Who knows he/she/it may be just as much as a asshole to the rest of his race. I may be doing them a favor. The problem with a lot of games is a perceived code of honor or even karmatic justice for that
Like Kirk, I don't believe in the no win scenario especially for planet defense. There is always a weakness in defenses that a capable enemy can exploit. Though I concur Awkbird, I am willing to entertain the possibility that defenses will be a part of the game. The problem of defenses they are based on your technology and your understanding of tactics and tactics of species you have encountered before. In reality defense is ever changing and developing thing. The same set of t
I am not holding my breath that lack of JJ is somehow going to mean improvement. The next Star Trek is directed by Justin Chin apparently - therefore i would not expect something vastly different. Anyway, i dont think JJ Star Treks were terrible. At least the first was quite decent IMHO. They just did not feel like old Treks. I considered that to be a bad thing
Fans can be very Dogmatic in their views of film series. I like the movie. I was fortunate to see the original series in the theatre when I was a kid. For those who actually read the books and watch the movies it can be very screwy. The post Return of the Jedi books has the solos with three kids with different names and a whole string of events that didn't happen in the movie. You can choose to be offended by this and other discrepancies in the movie OR you can enjoy the spirit
Basically static background with a couple of lights blinking, and occasional something in the background passing by. Though I would really want something to that shows their mood, maybe a certain body twitch or discoloration, that indicates it's mood. Since these are new races the player is left to discover what this body language means for each race. Going into an encounter after you have met a alien race a few times you can start to tell if they are g
Nice work. I look forward to more. Thanks for sharing.
I prefer to refer to this body of work.

I like the multiple paths and opportunities. I reflects better on your choices and makes replay ability real high.
I think they will. It is however one of the most popular parts of SC1 and SC2. Maybe they will find a way to ramp it up. I would be cool with a Ring Runner type melee.

Sure, I don't mind. I already paid a large investment on the premise that they would have DLC and add ons. I like DLC my issue is that some of it is very overpriced for the content.
Another Story Idea My humble opinion would be to second Human ship made during the time period of SC2. Not hard to fathom as resources were gathered, some made it to Unzervalt (Vela II). The Hierarchy's unstoppable march through that part of the galaxy caused fear and survival instinct kicked in. The colonists used all their resources to include their dwellings and with the assistance of the ship factory built another ship. This time it w

Super melee is fun but I like to explore. I wouldn't mind a redux of SC1 while we wait. [e digicons]:pout:[/e]
Another good but very old space ship game is Renegade Legion Interceptor.
Funny you should mention that game. I dug that yesterday and have been playing it on Launchbox. I am also playing Renegade: Battle for Jacobs Star I love the music for it. Even if it's a bit repetitive. "I'm ready to slice and dice!!" and the dialog rocks "You mess this up scuzz and I'll have you doing a EVA withou
Ahhh... Reunion... should be pretty much abandonware now.... you can probably download for free.... Just make sure you have dosbox or something... this is only another great game that could do with a makeover! I just remembered that there is this magical little game that truly is worth playing if you haven't already. There is no game quite like it. <span style="background

I think bringin back member of the sentient milieu would be apprpriate if this can be considered a prequel. If this considered alternate timeline or a branch from SC 1 or 2 I woukd just go with all new races with one or two of the original races. Then again lets see what they have in store for us. Average time for a good game with a mix of side mission and main plot 72hrs. That's taking time to enjoy the game. 50hrs to blaze through and up 90hrs to hard core side mission or resource gathering. Maybe less if they plan to keep adding DLC to develop side missions or continued story.
At no time did I tell you how to play it. I stated my preference as you strongly stated yours and made it a point to try to make mine wrong because it doesn't fall in line with yours. Touche', you have won and I bow to your superior intellect and reasoning. I shall forever blindly agree to your supremely superior point of view.
