That said; I'm a little concerned that the ship designer isn't powerful enough for my needs if it only c
The characters are my own from a bit of fiction writing I have been playing with over the years. It would be cool to see them come to fruition.
You come across what appears to be a well "worn" ship bristling with weapons. When you make contact, you meet Rigel and Cairne. These two bounty hunters try to enlist you in helping them. By helping them they will pay you in information, resources and "less than legal" or "prototype" tech for your ship. Helping them can both help and hurt you. While they for the most part are on the up and up, you will realize they work with a means justifies the end mentality. Some of the tech
As much as I thought SC3 was a disappointment on a "Galactic" Scale, I will say Accolade and Legend did try. They tried to go another direction with the story and game play. I have played it more then once because the story intrigued me and I liked the idea behind it for the most part. I liked the opportunity to pick up ships from colonies and having to deal with racial politics. The precursor plot twist was fun and made me look at steak with a whole new appreciation. I liked the Xc

May updates Yeah!!! Opinions on updates: 1. Dialog tool is nifty and shows some promise. I plan to play with this tool a lot. 2. ogg files are cool sounding and play well with VLC. Music upbeat and whimsical. Nice Job 3. Solar system exploration and encounter pic pretty cool. I like the pseudo 3d for that. 4. Space battles are cool, I like the race pics with status rings around them. I hate pseudo 3d view for battle, but I wo

The cover art for SC 1 at the time was great and I think it represented the spirit of the game well. The cover are for SC was great as well. I know it can be argued about the Urquan having teeth

I hate early access. I have seen buggy crap hit early access and the devs fall upon their own swords. All it is, is paid for alpha or beta testing which publicizes buggy crap with the caveat "early Access" Technically, Founders program can be looked at as the same thing. However with the founders program I get input from the inception until the end product, also having access to all the DLC in the future is worth the price and the time.
I think they are relevant and appropriate. It acts like a time capsule and reminds us of what was going on in the world during the making of this game. It gives us insight on the game designers/writers/artists world views. Most of the time it's done with humor or irony both of which shouldn't be lost on society. So throw a Prince symbol out some where, I dare ya!!!!
Good points. I would like to see some of the same things. SC2 did have the issue of environmental effect on the landers unfortunately all of them where deadly to the crew and not just a hindrance. My only issue is how much environmental impact do you really want, based on the overall game play? If you spend a hour on a planet getting your can kicked around just trying to dig up minerals, people are going to get bored or frustrated quickly. Then you have the issue is what is more important lan
The problems with constellations are that they are only relative to the perspective of our solar system. These constellations will not look the same when your viewing them from a different star system. So unless your starmap will always be centered on Sol, its kind of a moot point. The relative distance between stars in a constellation is never the same and there may be stars closer to each other that are not as bright within the lines of a constellation. They are gr
I'll address the Vault Content: Teaser: It should have ship flight if possible, alien interaction screen, travel music and neat text effects! The Premise: Solid and predictable but still leave room for Paul and Fred to rock out. SuperMelee: I can take it or leave it. It needs to wow me. Multi-player games just tick me off when some smack talking, 9yr old, glitch kiddie and his friends, starts ruining the online play by exploiting the system or tag teaming on N
I don't think there is a too big for a map unless it effects game play. Just make what has not been either explored, shared, or purchased obscured. This makes expansions and DLC easier to create as the systems will be already there. While I like 2d maps for the sake of simplicity, I like 3D maps for a bit of believability. This will give Paul and Fred room to play when they get passed their contract obligations (Soon I Hope).
Star Control is a RPG with arcade action elements. How can it be construed as anything different? You play the role of a captain of a starship, following a storyline, exploring, doing missions enhancing your character or ship trying to achieve goals. How does this not fall in the genre of RPG? But again I'm not a well versed all of you. [e digicons]8C[/e]

Just my opinion: 1. The alien with the dreadlocks is cool. I want one of the PDA's. I see a neat storyline involving the separation of the alien and it's PDA. Could be a cool faction war kinda like Yehat. 2. I reserve opinion on the planet exploration until I see a demo. 3. Mukay ship is neat. I think the B firing picture is the best. 4. Kick ass on the modular design of the ship I love the idea you can retro fit different tech to m
It would be cool to use ships from your fleet to explore planets and gather resources while your flag ship does the same. By doing so give the ships experience in collecting and exploring and improves their efficiency in each task. the less experience the greater chance they loose crew from ALFs or planetary events quakes, lightening, etc. That's one of the things that annoyed me about SC2 is that you have a big old fleet and they do nothing but fight and you still have to pay to plu
Just put about 100hrs into SWTOR. Got that out of my system for a few weeks.
What I saw of the updates was pretty good. This is not how I hoped to see the newest version of this saga. A individual named Nuke Myro has been developing a game named Eventuality. Honestly I was hoping for this type of movement and combat. I was not a fan of the SC3 style combat in the video. The creatures are cool and I look forward to seeing more. The ship that was used for the demo is not my favorite. I
I completely agree and urge writers and quest line developers to challenge themselves to do it. This is year 2016. The time of shallow story-lines and fetch quests is over. If this SC is striving to be better than SC2 then it's not the graphics, not the music, and not the aliens that can do it, but a massively different story-line play-styles. Quoti
