So far, I like the changes. Though I will say I was surprised when I landed on Titan I was traveling around picking up minerals and then Boom, I was destroyed. Nothing to indicate I was taking damage. Not a complaint , you don't always know what did you in. The game acts a bit sluggish at times, but I'm still tweaking the setup. Beyond that, I'm ready to travel to another star system to do some exploring.

Thoughts on the Beta: 1. Enjoyable game play. This is what I expected. 2. The Commander, I like her. Can I get her number? 3. The in system zoom is a great boon. Thanks for that. 4. Still not sure how I feel on the landing mini game. However, I know upgrades are supposed to improved lander performance how many engines are you supposed to be able to purchase? I have two, are the improvements cumulative for those? Did I buy two without needing to? 5

Thanks Brad, It was on 1. There is just the slightest jitter on planetary approach, but it is real minor. I agree at on the zoom control in solar system, we need it...lol. I notice that some of the planet resource icons that float above the surface for pickup, some are half buried still. (Just my preference) I think landers should be bought in the same place as equipment, instead of resources.

i7-4770-3.5g 8gb ddr3 Radeon R7-200 It is laggy for my system. The voice plays but the video is slow. It is odd though. I have had no issues with any games up to this point with framerate. I even have seams on planets when exploring.

I see your point and I agree it would be a pain to have to constantly have your bases attacked. I was thinking more along the line once the base is discovered and you leave some of your forces to protect it. Not leaving any forces or not creating ships would cause a may-day event and you would have to fend another probe or a small alien force. If you look at the series, two out of the three have had significant resource management as a foundation for the game. SC1 yo

One thing I did like about SC3 was the colonized worlds had the ships from the species that colonized those worlds. Taking that into consideration having the space stations be able to provide ships from all races you are in alliance with right away and at unlimited amount vs your money is hokey. I think that you should only be able to get ships from aliens that are within a certain distance of the station's sphere of influence and only if your are aligned with the

What is Star Control? – Decent explanation keeping with multiverses allows for a good amount of expansion of current and future storylines. I just hope the original creators regardless of involvement agree. Super Melee- While still in infancy, it’s still neat. Barring the issues, being able to tweak the ships and environment via xml is cool. I however see a class system about to be created by the devs for the Founders which may cause some tension w

Not a fan of different weapons types for each ship. However, I did like the idea of Precursor artifacts, that may give certain ships boosts. Things like better maneuverability, faster recharge etc. If the ship that has them get's destroyed it's picked up by the victor in the debris. Allow one maybe two Artifacts to be used on a ship at once. Two would have both positive and negative effects, your weapons may charge faster and may get a DPS upgrade, but your ma

I can handle the Precursors being just about anything, but a six legged cow. So if they are, just keep them away and hidden. I grew up on a dairy farm. The thought of milking a Precursor is disturbing...lol. [e digicons]:omg:[/e] However a alternate universe where the Precursors are evil would be a awesome story line.....DIBS!!!!
