[quote who="Hunam_" reply="29" id="3649708"] ^ I was saying it from the start. Let features pop-in NMS Game of Thrones title intro style. Or any other style Nitrous supports. Let clouds or planet distance serve as a gift wrap that you'll feel need to remove to see what kinda candy is inside. And I love the goofy features on the planets and overall planet style. Dang it! Can someone tell me about what this Google Drive thing is?? Did I miss it? Was it a link previously on here? My rabid hunger for blo-... er... Star Control news is overwhelming me right now!
It's true - wealthy benefactors/visionaries will only get us so far - through pure force of will and desire for humanity to prosper. For things to really expand, it must be VERY clear that enormous profit will come of it. That way, you know, they'll spend $20billion on Mars drilling instead of $20billion on Snapchat (which is somehow, its worth).
Link? What link? And what's this "access requested"? Am I missing something? Or are you guys yankin' me?
Hah, the government can barely keep the lights on and the terrorists out. The debt is at $20trillion for crying out loud. They have no time or $$$ for, you know, advancing our species. Which is sad. However, I want to see MORE visionaries like Musk and Hawking and Milner and Zuckerburg - who quite honestly, have nothing better to do all day (besides counting their billions), so they turn their attention to making humanities' place in the galaxy. It's a beautiful thing. And I w
NO. No escorts missions.
OMG, has anyone ever seen the Impractical Jokers where Joe is at a fast food burger restaurant and the other jokers tell him he has to pretend to take this lady's order as if it was a new voice input system? "CUSTOMER NAME - no - GO BACK. GO BACK. NAME! GO BACK." Definitely had to be there, but hilarious if you were!
HAHAHAHA! Vaelzad! That's hilarious!
Wow, NMS sure took a nose-dive away from greatness, eh?
Yes, IBNobody - we're alllll in agreement on that by now, lol. Anything else to add?! Haha, Hunam, I'm glad you said it because I had to ACTIVELY restrain myself from mentioning NMS like 5x on the various things they lost me on. But you're soooooo right. To this day, I remember the Star Control II star names and reuse them every time I play a 4x game - whether it be CIV 5 or Galactic Civilizations or Stellaris or whatever. My Homeworld (or Capital) is named Sol and m
Good one! Let's here moar!
How about a thread where we all sound off about what would be ABSOLUTELY DEVASTATING to each of us, if Stardock did for Star Control: Origins. That might help guide Stardock and be as important as what we DO want in the game... For example: 1. I will cry if there are a million incremental upgrades to your ship that don't really change anything - just improve it a bit. I've already said that before. But to add to that - I will STILL cry if these upgrades are just litter
But there IS a set budget. Right? You're agreeing with that part...
Everyone needs to keep in mind the set budget of this game. Would you REALLY rather them focus on fleshing out an entire underwater world, rather than say... including that 12th alien race? Or nailing the ship upgrades and making sure they're not too common and certainly not Fusion Blaster 1/2/3/4 that increases dmg from 3.5 to 4.1 to 4.9 to 5.7? Or polishing the graphics to give them that extra WOW factor? Start thinking about divvying up resources before suggesting underwater ex
Annnnnnnd.... I hope that "grow the hell up" comment wasn't directed at me! I champion how well Stardock has been doing on here. Just look at my posts!
Awkbird! Jeepers! Now you're even jumping on me. I'm DEFINITELY not saying it's on them! Tensions are already so high. It's not ON them or THEIR faults - it's a fact of the Internet. However, they COULD keep everyone busy with more frequent updates! That's the only point I was making, sheesh. And then you immediately erupt saying I've got "some gall". This is exactly what's happening on every other thread! So let me clarify, and then please don't ju
Oops [e digicons]
Stardock, I think we need more content updates, to create meaningful interaction between us and you. As the Internet is wont to do - Almost every thread has now degenerated into a flamewar between the members of this forum, and it's really getting upsetting to a lot of people! I think there's only one solution to this: more regular content updates to sate our bloodlust for Star Control!!!! Maybe, just MAYBE we could get an update MID-MONTH as well, even if they&#
Lol, okay buddy :)
Lol, Hunam_, how do I always wander into this shit? And then all of a sudden I'm waist-deep in a flame war? Chill out, Tovanion! You've been relatively active on here for months... I was talking to the people who are all pissed they might or might not get a steam-key who have been founders for a year now, and never once bothered to offer any input. You've been on these forums pretty consistently, so I wasn't even TALKING to you. Besides, is it really up f
I think we're getting a little out of hand here. Successfully creating a convincing entire underwater world on top of everything else may be a little out of scope... it appears the lander will hover over water, because, hey we can't have everything, right? Something akin would be exploring the interiors of your ship, or even teleporting aboard the alien ships to meet them in person and walk their halls! Sure, that'd be awesome, but let's not get carried away here
You guys didn't sign up as playtesters. You signed up as FOUNDERS to work on the game from conception to completion. Why ignore any and all development being done, just because there's nothing to play. Decisions are being made RIGHT NOW to shape and form the game. Guide them now, to play a kickass game later. That'd the Founder's Program.
Maybe when they add all the "free" DLC that he promised we wouldn't have to pay for...
Oh, you guys are such conspiracy theorists! If #bradwardelllied starts trending on Twitter, we'll all know who was behind it. At least you two have finally found common ground and are getting along after months of butting heads, so I guess there's a silver lining... I think the devs are doing an incredible job, and y'all are pouting that they're not answering your questions quickly enough. They're not on your schedule, bub! Let em do their work and do it we
