^ I can proof-read some... :)

^ You're doing God's work, son.
Screen Warp is life. Just throwing it out there.
I wonder if those focus testers even played SC2....
I probably should've mentioned that I like the style of Endless Space UI a lot, and not necessarily the buttons execution. So cuore's points are totally valid. Just don't make Text only Buttons in SCO. There shouldn't be any buttons on the screen in my estimation anyway. Space for inventory, Tab for Log. What do you need on-screen buttons for?
^ 'Cause like a lot of developers, they think the player has half a brain and needs to be taken care of. Or dev people responsible just don't like the mechanic.
The overall UI seems like a bunch of ideas thrown together to figure out what looks best. Rounded buttons with "fancy" borders on a straight and modest backdrop is just a poor UI elements combo. Orange and Purple... When was it ever a great color combo? Also, it's 2017 - even in Fallout 4 we could change our UI color.
^ I'll take those over anything we had so far. Thank you Bradley! :D
The bad: -Crew dots as a bar graph. The current approach of representing linear damage incurred as fractionally disappearing crew dots is, well, psychotic. It’s neither good data visualization nor good immersion. If you want a linear graph, fine — call it something like “hull integrity,” d
You'r a little too late to the party about art direction of the game. Also, nothing you or any of us could've said to change it anyway. At this point we're (a band of who really cares) droning Stardock to tone down over-exaggerated planet features in star system view.
^ What Brad basically said in the voice chat is that it doesn't matter what we talk about here as long as it's not an absolute majority in an uproar about something unacceptable. And to be honest not everyone was discussing the Commandress back then. Even though she was changed from the concept pics that were posted in the vault, which by the way make her look less attractive, but more fitting IMO. Also, everything we see is WIP and some of us feel like there's no sense in p

There were several prototypes for a commander. That one won internally as I understand. I wonder if there were any 3D model attempts at any other. ^ Is SCO main story as epic as SC2?

^ pretty much what I envision in the end. Can also add shrinking arena border option when faster ships become available. No wrapping, no bouncing, no leashing. Just a "soft" border that drains energy, (maybe damages ship later in battle) and slows it down.
^ Only one way to find out.

^ But it is unfinished... All the revealed art is still WIP. Not detailed and not polished. Though, what Cuore is talking about is the "mood" of the game's art. Facial and body expressions being "non-serious"/cartoony (light-hearted and shallow)/detached from whimsical, but serious SC2 atmosphere. Animation (even though it's a bit to early to judge) being in tune with rather "Tom and Jerry" than "Ren and Stimpy". Too much "Despicable Me" and not enough "Alice in Wonderland". Does it make
Have you also noticed that ships still have a HEALTH BAR under the guise of pretty rectangles?... Not only it's just another f.king HP bar, but it's also trying to deceive the player with fake rectangles that mean nothing, but a cute GFX. All this fist shaking and moaning FOR NOTHING!!
Hi Brad, Sorry to be a stick in the mud... But, how can Fred and Paul make another SC outside of Stardock, if Stardock owns the rights? Isn't it like you making another GalCiv with Blizzard (for example)? Also, SCO is nearly ready, while they only announced their game two days ago, why would you need to coordinate release dates? <br /
For example, we might want to do a Farscape based adventure or a Battlestar galactic based adventure or a BAbylon 5 based adventure. Or we might want to sell a story set 20,000 years ago before the Ur-Quan took over their universe.
I just came all over my screen and desk. I love inconspicuous orbit curves. It adds sense of grandeur.
^ Be honest, that wasn't your initial reaction when you saw "Stardock - Star Control - all new" the first time.
