Please...never look the Tywom in the eyes. Just don’t do it. No one wins when that happens. Also, thanks for the feedback!

Two things: 1. Please don’t insult each other. 2. Please remember that we work for you. So as long as you’re willing to try, so will we. Also, we will be needing to send out some T shirts. Even if only 0.1% of the players run into this, that’s still hundreds of people. We need to figure it out.
With the game out and this thread having little resemblance to any Q and A we are going to lock it.

Im tryin to keep things upbeat on reddit for ya guys but looks like there is a posse of haters, im runnin out of steam lol. Thankfully its the weekend and imma log in some good hours on the game.
So AutomaticManagedPagefile returned False for me. However my pagefile ist set to use one automatic sized pagefile on F (my secondary SSD). I've never had a problem with this setting and I've played literally hundreds of games and executed hundreds of programs without any issue related to this, it is only Star Control that trips up on this. <img src="https://i.imgur.com/1Ep64wv.png" alt="" widt
Greetings! Wow! What a fantastic week! Like many of you, we weren't sure what the reception would be. How many people are into space adventure/RPG games? I've even seen debates on what exactly is an RPG? Here's what we have planned for this week: Translation (Перевод) Russia is the #2 market for this game. With German a close #3. The translations came in a lot hotter than we expected due to the star and planet names. We a
Followup: what OS is this on by chance?
Can you send over your run log?
The game is working now. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it in a completely new location, on a separate drive even (probably not necessary but what the hell...) I can start a new game and finally play.
Good to hear! Sorry it was so difficult to get it installed! Thanks for hanging in there!
I'll see about getting a printable version.
Probably the same 15 or so people from Reddit.
You can play with a Game controller. I haven't tried an actual joystick though.
Do you guys by chance have virtual memory disabled (your swap file as we used to call it)?
Thanks! If you have any questions, please let us know. Cheers!
I entered the steam code and it said I already had it installed. I'm guessing it's because I've already been playing the beta. At this point will I just need to change the properties in the beta tab to 'None'? Should I do that now, or just wait until tomorrow? Thanks again for a great job on the game.
Yea, right now the installed amount would be like 1K. :) Tomorrow you'll get a 10Gig update
They claim a lot of things, yes. Lately they’ve been trying to claim our work too. It seems to be a pattern with them. To claim to own other people’s work.
A lot of the time there's a big push at the end to get over the top. Don't give up hope!
All founders should have their Steam keys now. If not, check http://download.stardock.com which should, I believe, show you your Steam key. If not, contact and they can set you up.
Thanks again for the reply. I’m so glad that this series that I have such fond memories of is coming back. Yehats off to everyone on the team for making this happen!
Thanks!
Well if a diamond planet is possible why not a gold planet ? I say bring it on, to be super realistic you could create a planet that have mostly gold on it or extruding gold in its geological processes. That would be more ideal/realistic i'd say.
Oh we have gold planets too. :) Iterating on the game over and over was absolutely critical because it allowed us to focus on our efforts not just on what is fun but al
We are all on pins and needles here. We just finished a big Pizza party here this afternoon. The teams have done amazing work on this and we're incredibly excited to share with you what we've done.

Bit absurd to suggest they'd enter in to negotiations to buy and license something they already own, after all
We certainly know what Paul and Fred claimed to have owned at the time. Events have, however, shown otherwise. But I think we can all agree that Paul and Fred have very broad definitions
They never owned the "Star Control" trademark, and they've never claimed they do. Their property is the Reiche IP, which includes basically everything other than the name "Star Control". They were even in negotiations with Accolade to sell it at one point: https://www.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.cand.320268/gov.uscourts.cand.320268.64.7.pdf
You mean the Star Control trademarks and the copyrights to Star Con
Star Control: Origins is an action adventure game that has a fair bit of role playing in it. It does not, however, have any randomness. This is by design and will become increasingly obvious. Instead, you, the player, are the random number generator. Every single player will play the game slightly differently. It's an open universe. You can
