It is indeed. :)

I just checked again. NOt sure what the deal is because all the files are marked 4/20 so I don't know if they had some issue or not. I uploaded it back at the end of March (it's called Smarch, Simpsons reference).
The March update should be there. It's showing up for me.
https://www.starcontrol.com/vault Lousy Smarch weather made it late.
Hi guys! The team has gotten me all the stuff to put together for the March update. Unfortunately, I've been swamped getting Ashes of the Singularity out the door. Should have it out this week. I apologize for the delay! Thanks for your patience.
For you guys, the DLC won't matter since you guys just get them. But DLC for this game is an absolute necessity. New mini-adventures are something I thikn most of us wish had come with Star Control 2 (for instance). New ship parts. new weapons, etc. Those all make great DLC imo.
Greetings! Good thing it's a leap year or we'd have missed the big February Founder upload. The Vault upload this month is bigger than all the other previous ones combined. In fact, it's twice as big as all the previous ones combined. So let's get to it: ## CONTENTS ## Earthling Commander stuff Planet Critters Ship Concepts Combat feedback Exploration Feedback
Greetings! Hi all, tools and other goodies are coming along nicely. Let me put up the February status report.
Heh.
We plan, under your NDA, to start putting up the new tracks for your review and input. :)
Good question! We'll put some topics up shortly. The sausage factory is about to open. ;)
We are trying to keep the number in the low hundred. I expect we'll be closing the program to new entries by Christmas. :)
We expect to begin sending invitations out next week but it'll probably take awhile to go through them all since we're manually going through each one.
Thanks for the post. The plan for the reboot is that it'll be all new aliens. We won't be touching the classic aliens (or minors) until if/when Paul and Fred (the original designers who are working on Skylanders these days) are able to revisit their lore.
Like the other Star Control games, it'll also be available via GOG.
We do plan to support that.
I can't wait to get it started because we really want to start talking to you guys about some of the decision directions and get early feedback without it being "public".
I wonder how many apps you received already. Judging from the number of active users of SC forum it shouldn't be more than 100. Maybe all active users on here could get in. [e digicons][/e]
Lots of applicants (>1000 so far). But we do want to keep the final number pretty low.
Just to make crystal clear: If Paul and Fred wanted to personally work on a new Star Control reboot that made use of the original aliens then we'd be willing to do that. It has nothing to do with Activision. So don't confuse my ethical beliefs with my legal beliefs. They are not the same. Legally speaking, Activision nor Toys for Bob have any rights to the Ur-Quan lore. Similarly, Stardock has zero rights to the GalCiv lore. It's mine. P
How far does the concept of not using the races from SC1 and SC2 extend? I'm fine with having a whole new set of aliens, but I'm worried that it will mean that ship concepts and abilities from the original games will have to be avoided. Ex: "We can't add a ship that reincarnates if the owner button-mashes because that was already done in SC2." Will SD add a ship that steals crew members, launches fighters/marines?, has inertia-less drives, etc? <br
Updated. ;)
^ I don't know if you missed it, but the original timeline is being rewritten (even if ever so slightly) to create this "alternate" one. The problem with that alternate timeline is that it's gonna be like a bastard child of a respected parent. It'll never be fully accepted and embraced by old fans. It won't ever be able to merge harmoniously with the original lore in possible sequels. Basically, Stardock forces 2 different SC u
Wow Oktober, you really went to a dark place. I think you you should take a break from the forums.
