Same problem after completely removing and reinstalling both the Epic launcher and and the overlay.
That is definitely odd. Are you running your PC as administrator (or default) or as a user? Crashing right away usually means something...system levelly.

I could quibble endlessly on the IGN review. At the end of the day, he doesn't like GalCiv games. He didn't like GalCiv II or GalCiv III so it's not surprising he doesn't like GalCiv IV. I am surprised at the number though. Elemental: War of Magic, got a better score. GalCiv games are not story/narrative based games. They are Civ games. It's a niche but it's a good niche. Games shouldn't be scored in a vacuum. IGN gave GalCiv III

Loading
What does he get wrong? Be specific. I think a 5 rating (just below Humankind's 6) is perfectly fair given the current state of the game.
Humankind got a 7 on IGN. Also, did you play Humankind on release?<
No russian? No other languages other than eng? Why? Didn't you promise to add languages on the release?
We were doing text additions very late into development so we couldn't do text lock in time for 1.0. We'll be adding additional languages over the coming months.
and this leads me right back to "The UI is garbage." I literally had absolutely NO idea this was even a thing. I saw the Unhappy faces etc.. and I was building entertainment districts.. but I have NO IDEA why they're actually unhappy. Turns out you need to put your mouse pointer over the TINY LITTLE FACE on EACH individual citizen on the planet to find out why they're unhappy. The game *never* tells you that, it never even talks about it.
<
Quoting DivineWrath, reply 4 A good manufacturing world needs good morale, not just labs and factories. The game divides manufacturing and research by 100, then multiplies it by your world's average morale. So if morale is 50%, you are only going to get 50% of your

Because the GalCiv IV AI got such big bump in quality from GalCiv III, we've had to reduce the default difficulty from Normal to Easy. Don't make the mistake I just made and not change it to Normal. ;) That said, you CAN change the difficulty mid-game from the options menu.

Sorry to hear that. What I'd recommend, for starters, is try playing on a galaxy setup that is a little less ambitious. This way, we can determine if there is a universal issue or if there's a problem just with those specific settings (4K, max everything). I play at 5K resolution (I have one of those LG monitors) without a problem but my maps aren't nearly as big since I just haven't had enough time to play that long of a game yet.

The game market has become a lot more like the movie/TV streaming services. Different services make different proposals to get content onto them. This is why we can't make any certain announcements on availability on . If someone doesn't want to buy a game because they don't like a given platform, I understand. Heck, you're talking to a guy who didn't see The Batman at theaters because I knew it would soon be on HBO Max

By the year 2232, the malevolent Drengin Empire reigned supreme over this area of space. The once mighty Arcean Empire, that had long kept the Drengin Empire in check, was utterly defeated and their world left in ruin. The home world of the Torian Confederation was occupied with great cruelty. Even the rising Altarian Republic was brought low and forced to sign an armistice and took on a role known as the Altarian Resistance. Earth was left untouched thanks to a Precursor
The game is still running, but the screen is black. The cursor still shows, and I can move it, but I can't get anything else to happen.
I'm wondering if there's a UI problem rather than a crash. Like a dialog is hidden behind that window?

It’s hard to narrow down what screenshots help show off Galactic Civilizations IV the best. Below I’m going to post some of my favorites, but we’d love to read your opinions and what screenshots you might think better represent the game to strategy gamers. <img style="display: inline;" title="GC4-00-Earth" src="https://

This isn't about Trump. The issue with Twitter is that its rules are applied capriciously just like you'd expect on a privately owned forum. Which makes it no better than a forum (as opposed to the universal messaging system that was its original mission). For instance, Twitter Suspends The Babylon Bee | The Babylon Bee is a better example of the rules being applied seemingly ca
I'm still waiting for someone to prove to me that there is more to this game than getting a doomstack and declaring victory. Even if you completely isolate yourself, you still need a doomstack to get rid of precursor sentinels. I have not found a single game scenario that didn't hinge on whether I had a doomstack or not. Various other decisions will speed things up or slow things down incrementally but they don't really matter .<b
