The screenshot itself is sufficient for my purposes. It contains all the info I need from the players. Anything else I do need, the player doesnt need to worry about.

Yeah, forget a ZYW. This one is exceptionally difficult to blitz in. My first two games were both 3 years, but I still think I might be able to get it down to 2, maybe possibly.

Will take a slightly non-traditional approach to do though.

With the slow tech speed, 9 opponents, and abundant habitable planets, this took longer to play than any other MVL game for me so far....at the end I was ready for it to be over.

How do early submission points work? spent a lot of time searching the many MVL pages, haven't been able to find anything.

Based on the chart shown in the Season Three Draft I'm guessing that the first four people to submit their games to the MVL thread get +1 point? As an extension, how is this handled, say if player A submits their game to the MV faster than player B, but player B is quicker to add his/her post to the MVL Round thread, which gets the bonus point?

the Bonus Round was handled differently than a normal round. It is not a good representative example of scoring in the MVL.

Here is a breakdown of how scoring works:

There are 8 possible Individual Bonus Points. 4 are given out to the four highest scores, and 4 are given out to the four fastest games. In case of ties, score games are broken by speed, and speed is broken by score. If score and speed are the same, both players will earn the Bonus Point.

There are three categories that a Team can earn bonus points in:

The Team with the Highest Average Score (all scores added together and divided by players on a team) earns 2pts, the team with the next highest average earns 1pt.

The Team with the Lowest Average Speed (all game years added together and divided by players on a team) gets 2pts, next highest team average earns 1pt.

Finally, Team Submission Time is based on the Average of Rank Order of Submissions. The First Person to submit a game to the MVL Thread is considered "1", the next "2", and so on in numerical order. Once all submissions have been entered for a round, each person's submission rank is added together and then divided by number of players on the team. So: Team A had submission ranks of 3, 7, 8, 10, and 12 (the 3rd, 7th, 8th, 10th, and 12th submitted games to the MVL respectively) their average Submission Rank would be 8 (40/5)

The Team with the Lowest Submission Rank Average earns 2pts, the team with the next lowest average earns 1pt.

I am glad with the result, but very glad to be done with that game. That was a serious grind for a 1 year game. The only other game I recall being that much work was a gig/abundant all suicidal.

Neilo, I do miss being on Team E. I held off volunteering to be a captain at first partially in hopes I'd end up sticking around. But we've got a great group in Team B and I don't think I could be bribed to move. I do however wish the Villany every success in their efforts to come in second  :LOL: !

Sounds like you have quite a good game going too. I won't be surprised when you shave off a handful of turns and post a one year with a better score.

Sure was. It took me the better part of the day, but after about six tries i managed to shaveoff some time and just sneak in for the 1 year win.

Thankyou. I knew that a 1 year game was there for the taking, and i did try but i was not focused enough on it. Once i saw that you had done it, i knew if i played it out a few times i should have been able to get there.

As to how impressive it is, if it were not for Mumble, i would never have been able to do this game, so some credit should go to mumble for instructing me well.

Well, it's pretty hard to follow that act... I won't have time for another go, though, so here's my submission.
