lol, no...this is that round that doesn't end, yes it goes on and on my friend...some idiot, started playing it, not knowing what it was, and now we are all still playing, forever, just because.....

Okay, so where do we submit the game once it's finished? I have a character in the Kzinti Empire, so I may not be able to submit through that one.

GE: You can submit a game using any Metaverse character you have, in any empire. Once you have submitted your game to the Metaverse, you need to post the game information (submission time stamp, character, score, game years, version at a minimum) here in the round 9 forum.

I hear there my be a hot fix this week for the research bug, so I might try it with TA. That bug got me in the bonus round. That's why it took me 5yrs on tough to complete.

For anyone that doesn't know, this bug causes a dramatic increase in the cost of all research periodically. Like 1st level beam weapons taking 20 turns to research. Yikes! I've seen it in all sandbox games I've played, but not in the tourney games. Strange.

please note and be aware that a Player may play the round settings as much as they want to in any given round timespan to achieve the outcome that they most desire BUT they may only submit one game to the Official MVL Round thread.

It is usually beneficial and encouraged to discuss with your team your current games and scores before making your official submission to the League.

As for the round settings- we've had some conquest victories before but I wanted a really good melee-type round, where your get to just get out there and kick some AI behind. I've found that the main drawback in those rounds/games is that the AI tends to, especially on the higher difficulties, go so fast in tech that if you aren't careful you'll have fleets with 100attack coming at you while you only have peashooters with Laser Vs on them. The slow tech rate should help against that.

Great settings, more planets to work with than we had in a while.

Prepare to be eternalized,..umm, err villainated, welllll... :p Ok let's just say the Eternal Villainy is going to win .

Hmm and the slow tech rate means i probably won't be able to nail a ZYW for this round. Scratch that.....i definitely won't be able to nail a ZYW this round.... ;p

You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave?

as an aside, for people to keep in the back of their minds...next month (July 13th to be exact) will be the official one year anniversary of the Metaverse League. If individuals would like to send me PMs (preferred method) of their ideas, I can start preparing now for it.

This round is probably the hardest game I've played. The Iconians are very agressive toward me in this particular scenario (DL ver1.5).

It looks like I'm gonna have to start all over...or post a defeat.. Definitely have to change my strategy..
