Wait till I get home, I will post a few that arent on the official list.

Right, lets get this straight are you guys seriously complaining that the AI on the highest level cant beat the best human players (many of who have years of experience playing strategy games a lot of it racked up against Galciv1). What the helll do you expect from a PC game, Skynet !
I have been playing every day for a week now and I have not seen 'lots' of bugs, the only problrems I have had are two CTD's and I have noticed a few odd things in the fleeet handling and auto-pilot logic. P.S. I assume I was misinterpreting your post when you said the AI in M002 was better than Galciv 2, because it was awful once you worked out all the cheesy exploits.
Moo3 after the patch is a really good game now, its still got a few quirks but then again so has Galciv. The main difference is Moo3 feels like you are controlling a vast space empire while Galciv plays like a board game.
I am running a test game on sub normal AI version 1.03 and the AI is happily trading tech for cash. I fact it does it so often its becoming a very tedious if garanteed method of winning the game.
On the trading screen allow the computer to put forward a counter proposal. This will cut down the time needed to guess what the AI will trade for.
Unfortunately trading technology for cash seems to be the key to winning this game(it is at the level I play), the problem is the fact this trading process is very boring and the lack of a counter proposal system makes it very time consuming as well. I think this part of the game needs to be changed so that you either can't trade tech for cash or the number of trades the AI accepts are massively reduced.
Just bumping this back to the top, the original post is brilliant, these issues need addressing by the developers.
Auto survey, well bugger me. Another great undocumented feature. Will some one please update their copy of the manual and post it back to the website. I would love to do it myself but I obviously haven't dicovered all these amazing features yet.
Try playing a game with a shockly bad UI like M003 and come back to Galciv and you will never bother complaining again :)
You are not missing anything, all these options are needed to improve the game, I believe version 1.03 is going to change the technology screen and hopefully introduce some of the options you have mentioned. Try posting this to the suggestions thread if you want the developers to look at it.
This has all the characteristics of a bug, nice one though.
Yes I noticed it every 10 or so turns at first, I now strongly suspect its due to the autosave, since I hate stupid game ruining random events I have set this to save every game to allow reloads and this causes a noticable delay up to 5 seconds between each turn.
The computer is not neccessarily better at math (although this is usually the case), the computer can process information millions of times faster than you. It can afford to take the time to check every planet for maximum efficiency (Currently I have got 52 colonies and to be quite honest I couldnt be arsed to check them unless something happens on a world that turn). Also the computer won't make mistakes (discounting bugs), it is also aware of the designers optium settings to win the game (usua
1. Nope 2. It depends on what you mean by origin, if you mean your world the answer is no, if you mean the alien world the answer is yes.
If you dont like a random event, cheat.Set your autosave to every turn and reload the previous turn. These events are usually totally random, even if another event is triggered it will nearly always be a different one.
Can you guys give me examples of how spying has worked for you, currently I am not using it and I suspect that I am missing an important area of the game.
Good point about miltary, I forgot that :)
Does the AI ever offer to trade technology. The only contact I have ever had, occurs when an empire is about to fold or is scared of you in this case they will offer you money in tribute. Also,it wouldn't it be great if the AI offered a counter proposal when you try and negotiate a deal (like CIV3 does).
I am probably missing something, but the espionage system seems fairly basic, you should be able to steal technology, sabotage installations, forment revolts, assasinate spies and leaders, destroy ships and starbases, subvert(games does this) and gain intel(game does this). Also how is the fog of war working, I seem to be able to see an enemies planet and ships even when I have no vessels in sensor range. Attacks have revealed that what I am seeing is whats there rather than what was there last
The graphs on the main screen show current spending, they are virtually useless(IMO), apart from showing what the AI is currently up to. The population graph is useful though, because it shows to true state of play.
When you are trading and the other side does not accept the deal let them put in a counter proposal even if its their bottom line. At the very least do not remove the original proposal because its driving me nuts having to reselect the same item up to 10 times to find out what the AI is willing to pay. Please try and make this labourious but vital process a bit easier for the poor old player.
Copy your MP3 files into the playlist folder. Go to the options menu and turn on "user defined playlist" and it should work a treat.
Yes, my initial post was a bit cyptic (no offense intended).
No Phaedyme (said in a slightly condescending voice), but this post is off topic it is nothing to do with Galciv.
