Questions about trade routes, freighters and war

Hello!
1. When a trade route has been established, can I send more than one freighter to a certain destination and multiply my trade income?
2. If a freighter has been destroyed, is it okay to move another freighter that has been built in another system to the origin of the trade route in order to get it going again?

1. Nope
2. It depends on what you mean by origin, if you mean your world the answer is no, if you mean the alien world the answer is yes.

Thank you.
But I when I send a new freighter to the alien route destination, GalCiv tells me that I´ve already reached the maximum trade routes.
So do I have to kill the old route of my destroyed freighter and then move the new freighter into the alien system to establish the old route again?

Baddie shooting the little freighter thingie doesn't stop your trade route - a new one will automatically be generated. If they do it often enough, the route closes down, I think - then you need to use a new freighter to create a new route. Just look at the value column - if it reads N/A, kill the route and start a new one.

An update to this thread...you actually CAN send multiple freighters from one system to another, even though you can't do that in most other similar games. I had 10 trade routes going from Sol to the same alien system in the last game I played.
