Haha, I completely understand the dilemma. It was just weird to come across a pseudo combo box in this day and age of prefab GUI elements. Good to know that it isn't a stumbling block. At least you have syntax checking on the fly.
IBNobody
I figured it out. There was a new script action button on the boxes associated with the NPC lines and not on the player lines. This leads to another question... If I can only set flags in the NPC violet windows, how can I set a flag without another dialog box popping up? (This is true even if I delete the NPC lines box) It doesn't seem like I can select End Chat AND set a flag in one fell swoop, That seems a little weird. Also... Do you really have to type ou
I mentioned in another thread that I played around with the dialog editor and the pizza example. I like the flowchart setup. One thing I struggled with was setting flags. I can create flags, but I cannot assign them values or clear/delete them. I wanted to set the system up so that once you went through the dialog once and was offered pizza, going through the dialog a second time would tell you that there was no more pizza. Both forks are present in the example, but nothing co
Any update on how to set and clear flags in the dialog editor? Or is that not available yet? I wanted to tie the no pizza branch in to the other branch.
New alien shown? The urchin portrait looks interesting. Dialog editor... I can create flags, but how do I set them and clear them? Dialog editor... The expression editor needs some UI love. Thanks for listing my options, but now let me select them. Also, shame on you for making them case sensitive.

I feel bad for the art department. You guys are raking them through the coals something fierce. Is this little guy truly that bad?
That is...horrifying. Good god. Remind me to just not touch consoles for my next title, they don't deserve it ._.;;
It gets worse. Read this from bottom to top. http://i.imgur.com/F5PMXKJ.png It's one example.
So... The "Fallout 4 Mods on Consoles" situation turned out badly, but not in the way I had expected. Instead of mods blowing up consoles, you have a bunch of entitled brats demanding that every mod for Fallout 4 get ported over. This includes mods that are not compatible with consoles. In some cases, people have stolen mods, flagged them as console compatible, and then re-uploaded them to Bethesda.net without crediting the original authors. Here is a useful info graphic that explains

I paid for X-rebirth Early Access and the game tanked horrible game play, absolutely idiotic AI and it still hasn't gotten any better. There are several titles out there that are garbage because the devs half hearted a product into Early Access and have sat on the title leaving customers with at such a crap job. As like everything else in this for
Quoting IBNobody, reply 2 with this game to warrant that $99 investment? The answer regardless of an individual's participation would be yes, as everyone who paid the $99 for the founder's is going to be getting all the DLC
If you want to clarify it as that, then yes, I agree with that label.
I hate early access. I have seen buggy crap hit early access and the devs fall upon their own swords. All it is, is paid for alpha or beta testing which publicizes buggy crap with the caveat "early Access" Technically, Founders program can be looked at as the same thing. However with the founders program I get input from the inception until the end product, also having access to all the DLC in the future is worth the price
Anyone going to try Space Pirates and Zombies 2 now that it has gone early access? I'm going to wait, because I never buy a brand new RPG. But it is definitely on my radar.
I think they are relevant and appropriate. It acts like a time capsule and reminds us of what was going on in the world during the making of this game. It gives us insight on the game designers/writers/artists world views. Most of the time it's done with humor or irony both of which shouldn't be lost on society.
Pop culture shouldn't be lost, but we have other better mediums for it. Ev

So I had a great idea about how to follow Al's advice, and more than lower my carbon footprint, but to create a black hole of a carbon footprint for myself. I live in a small apartment. Al Gore has several mansions, each of which uses more electricity in a single month than my apartment uses in an entire year. So, if I were
I'm saying this because of the thought of the headlines of today. Imagine if the game was filled with Trumpisms or "which bathroom do I use". Ugh. We get enough of this in daily media. A year ago, it was BlackLivesMatter. A year before, it was the Occupy movement. Think of all the anti-Bush or anti-Obama stuff too. You don't need pop culture references to have effective comedy.
I don't know what humor Chris is going to write into the game... But please avoid any pop culture references. They don't stand the test of time. Some may seem memorable, like one of the Civs using Al Gore's picture to represent the internet. Others are funny but need context, such as those found in the translations of games published by Working Designs. But... Are our children going to understand the references years from now?

But would you recognize the difference between any of those aliens and the aliens in Star Drive? Masters of Orion? Rebel Galaxy? or any number of the other space exploration and 4x space games that are out or coming out right now? To be honest they are unmemorable and they are all copies of designs from one another. You h

Thank you. That was a better summary of the direction than what was in the update. I guess we'll have to see how it comes out.
