If there's no other purpose rather than selling them for $ then why not?.. If there is, like trading minerals for items, then you have to have a button.
Well, Hunam, correct me if I'm wrong - but lots of space games, including one I played earlier tonight (SPAZ 2) offer a "feature" where you don't have to shoot your weapons - they automatically fire when an enemy is in range. Are you in favor of saving that extra click as

I actually think it's a perfect analogy - why don't we, instead of a button or conversation to drop off minerals, just make them auto-offload when you get to base? No unnecessary clicks, so that would save you one, right?

I'm a special case, I'll give you that. I beat it for at least the 8th time 5 months ago. Still holds up. Not annoying. I merely consider it part of the process of running the ship. It's no more annoying than manually giving the commander your minerals every.single.time...is it?
What does it mean - "scanning yourself"?
The importance of commas... should have read, "Scanning, yourself". I feel like the act of doing something yourself, helps to create a feeling of ownership. Same goes with flying through hyperspace - sure you could make it so that if you just click on your destination, your ship will travel there instantly, automatically. But there's a certain feeling to going through

For the record, scanning yourself added to the anticipation. It couldn't scan fast enough! But, I mean that in a good way, not like I wish it was sped up or done for me. Watching the wave roll across the planet and goodies (or nothing) pop up was a real trip, every.single.time. It was like opening a mystery chest at the end of a dungeon. You didn't know what you were gonna get, and when an energy node popped - OMFG. Shit's about to go DOWN. As for the planetary landing? The fun is alr

My dad literally does the exact same double-space after each period, and no matter how many times I try to tell him it's not necessary, or even etiquette anymore, he CANNOT break the habit. Drives me crazy.

Also, the living "buildings" die if there's no organisms to maintain them. Seems to me, that in the game, that would be fun to be consistent with a species of coral-like aliens. They're genetically identical. They build "living" ships, that die
I personally would like to see where the AI levels affect how much damage they take. Or perhaps give them a bit more crew.
Hey, even if this is how it ends up, there's always normal difficulty for me. I'm happy!

13 Replies 32,262 Views

This is something I look for in EVERY game difficulty setting, in every game, forever. If the enemies are smarter or better tactics? This is a good difficulty setting, and I'm game for Hard mode. If the enemies are bullet sponges, or just do double damage, this is a bad difficulty setting and I'll put it on the mode where the playing field is even. Stellaris had two difficulty sliders: Aggression Difficulty - this set the other empires into a more aggres

If anyone hasn't seen it, check out FingersOfThem's race, as well. He includes the Sik-Mu-Thieln, the Ellerians and his own race, weaving a synergistic tapestry of death between the three. I think this needs to be included in the game!

Hahaha - we should totally insert a meta joke like that about Brad's hatred for humanoids! That's perfect!!! A dig at bipeds and how boring that is... I think frogboy would like that. And they absolutely throw members of their race into the most hostile and cataclysmic environments imaginable - in hopes that if they come out on top? They'll only

I'm going to take that part out, based on Brad's guidelines. Including your suggestion, as well as Emperor's into one. It's clever and thrilling, honestly!
And why don't they serve Skryve? Or do they?.....
HUNAM! I was talking to DarkGildon, and I have a better answer to your Scryve question: What if... they meet you and don't necessarily see *ANYTHING* about humans, that they like. We're pretty unremarkable, in general. And these being are not "evil" in any way. Their primary driving force is improving their own biology. If they encounter an alien that's of no use, t

Based on a suggestion from DarkGildon, I'm going to update the original post with his suggestion: "I think they shouldn't look like anything we would imagine a creature to look like. I think it would make more sense for them to become beings of practicality. So the idea of having a lot of eyes makes sense, but I don't think they would be placed there, and maybe they'd be some new form of eyes. Shit that grows out of their body and looks like alien receptors. They would probably have t
