Quoting eride, reply 20 If games stop having story-driven (or strategy) single player games.. I will never play a video game again. I wouldn't do that, mainly because if I looked at the games in my backlog alone, I'd probably have a couple of decad
Well, there isn't much else I feel I'd want now, given what I've seen so far. There is one thing and I posted about it, but I don't even know whether they've read it; there were no replies, not even telling me to get stuffed, so... Basically, I was asking for improvement in ship selection, making the icons more of a front view than top--some ships I've built are really </

I work for a software company that does large scale sql implementations... I'm guessing much like a large DB build out, Stardock build the game engine and everything and then stress tested it with thousands of "random" but non-unique planets.... once the stress test was done and they knew the engine could work they set apart building the unique planets as the game story requires.... so my best guess is the story is done, the game could pr

Multiplayer games allow for a lot of instant purchase small transaction cash flow.... Look at the WoW pets or the loot crates that EA seems to love so much. probably the worst thing that has happened in the past few years is EA's insistence on everything they make being multiplayer. Especially in games like Mass Effect where the game SHOULD be all about you and only you.... mutter mutter... <

Well there are a few questions that they could elaborate on.... or at least tease.. "hey BionicDance, Great question, I could totally answer that, but spoilers and such. Tune in to our E3 Press conference." but actually my earlier post wasn't just towards StarDock. seems that there have been fewer customer posts lately as well....
I directly uninstalled the game. I deleted my postive reviews for your other games (Sorcere King and Fallen Enchantress) I deleted Star Control from my wishlist. You lost a customer who pay for you games.
Seriously? Talk about whiny self-entitled hate mongering. This post sums up exactly what is wrong with the review system that Steam uses.
Q1, How is Star Control different from No Man's Sky? Q2, You guys are good at strategy games. But you haven't done an RPG. So how has that changed how you make the game?
I second Melian's questions. I think Question 1 has been answered pretty well in the various April/May preview videos and stuff, but for question 2... it seems that Stardock has put a lot

The game uses a 64 bit engine and 64 bit software calls and processes. This is not something that they can simply change with a patch. What you are asking for is similar to if you called up Tesla Motors to ask them to put an internal combustion Engine in their new model car.

You are not entirely correct there Willy, Wizards of the Coast purchased TSR entirely, not just D&D They nearly walked away over the royalties because of how TSR had paid Royalties to the authors, which was a dispute that had actually been a thorn in TSR's side since the early 1980s and had caused them to oust Gygax... and why Gygax still owned a large amount of the Copyrights even if the Trademarks were with TSR. Either way Wizards o

I may have misinterpreted how they are using it but it sounds like the indicator will only be used on occasion and more in the start of the game when the options are more narrow. Personally I'd like an arrow that shows Planet this way. Not that Planet is the Planet I need to go to. just that that is the direction to go to find a planet...

I can see where you are coming from given that you work in animation. I have a background in Linguistics and don't even get me started on how irritating things like "irregardless" or "hey can you borrow me that thing?" are to me. The message is conveyed but I have an irrational eye twitch every time I hear someone say things like that.
If I'm reading between the lines correctly, it sounds as if, while there are definite plot points, there is also a lot of available improv because the AI is trained to handle it. ...or should be, anyway. Hence the play-testing. I...don't suppose you have independent playtesters? You know...folks who haven't been working on the game for ages and can evaluate it without bias? *hint hint*&
