Invading planets sounds like the most exciting thing aside from finding anomalies. To balance planet combat I think you need both your lander weapon and the troop transports (allies to protect) to matter in the fight, not just do one or the other (I don't know if air combat really adds anything to this). Also planets of different difficulties should exist, e.g. colony, developed planet, ecumenopolis. I would be most excited to invade an ecumenopolis once I get end-game

Hold on. Let me help you find your RunLog.txt and settings.ini I am using Steam (I am not part of Stardock) and this is where mine are (my username is linux): C:\Users\linux\OneDrive\Documents\My Games\Star Control\RunLog.txt C:\Users\linux\OneDrive\Documents\My Games\Star Control\settings.ini I don't know what your username is, so please go to: C:\Users Do that by typing C:\Users in the bar at the top of File Explorer
Spoiler:
Based on the Wiki there is a flagship weapon module that replenishes crew like the Greegrox do. I have no idea how to get it.
Umm SCO should be installed in steamapps just like all other Steam games: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Control - Origins C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Control - Origins\Game\StarControl_DX11.exe
Did you right click on Star Control Origins in your library, Properties, Betas, select the beta you would like to opt into: click the arrow and select NONE? I was a beta tester and the game stopped working after the beta until I opted out of the beta.

You haven't found the sentient bioweapons. Spoiler:
They are northwest of the Greegrox. Basically between the Greegrox and the Phamyshed.
You also haven't finished the Phamyshed Secret Objective. I thought they already told you where to go to do that. Both are part of the main quest arc.
I heard you can buy a flagship crew module and that will give you some crew even while infected.
You can sell them at certain alien traders for RU. I like to stun critters and sell them because they give more RU than most mineral types.

If you have time I would buy a DLC for just one more planet type: oceanic (right now the closest thing to oceanic are ice balls). You don't have to let us go underwater.
Yeah I guess episodic expansion is a better term.
How will more season passes for SCO be balanced against saving story for a possible SCO 2? I can't really think of anything SCO can't do that I would want except an much larger star map that could fit more alien civilizations.
Please don't sell the mini-expansions separately. $19.99 is good for a season pass. The Witcher 3 had expansions that delivered complete stories for reasonable prices. DLC meant to be bought individually on top of season passes is OK though (e.g. DLC for SCII ships or stories too small for season passes e.g. multiverse adventures). I can imagine someone buying one of the 6 parts of Earth Rising and not complaining about it's shortness, understanding th
I agree that a season pass is the best, because it does not have to worry about so many combinations of DLC (e.g. you have Earth Rising 1-4 and 6 but not 5) and it happens faster than expansions, but I think you are in the opposite position compared to GalCiv III DLC hurting reviews. New story content for SCO will snowball into a better and better game and your review scores should increase as new players can do a longer and longer main quest. The
Does running out of fuel get you home instantly? I tried it and I thought it took a few days. Also, I really don't care about how much time I spend in Hyperspace because time barely passes there it takes forever for 1 day to pass.
You put this in Technical Support I think that's the right place. I don't have any advice except wait for Stardock to patch this. I am not part of Stardock I was just a beta tester.
Does doing it 3 times produce 3 colonies? What is the point of doing it more than once?
Why? One colony per drive?
I'll third this.
Do they refill crew when you go back to Star Control at Earth?
I heard that you can import video files (MP4) to make your own animated aliens. You have to do the lip syncing yourself for the MP4s though. The lip syncing for all SCO races with 3D models is automatic I think. I also heard that there is a planned expansion that is more of a 4X like SC1.
I saw the Stardock SCO stream on SCO's Steam Store Page, but when I looked at Stardock's Twitch account they had not published the SCO stream. Will Stardock publish the SCO stream they did on 9/20-9/21?
The codex planetology section has only 8 planet types. There are a lot more out there. Please either have all of them in the codex at the start or unlock them as you find them in the game.
I solve that by writing down the name of every system I go to.
Francium is only found on black worlds (plutonic?). I have not found them on any other planet type.
