One thing they should remember is to keep the physics real, they shouldn't spoonfeed us the planets once we're in a planet system, we have to navigate our way towards the planet (work for it, fight the elements, gravity rocks, asteroids like in SC2.) Spoonfeeding the planets by auto navigation would make it non-rewarding, in hyperspace, you should have the option to let autopilot take you to your destination BUT no tricker

Cuorebrave Module - replaces the melee music with the Benny Hill Theme, and all sounds with comedical slapstick sounds. Additionally, each time an alien tells a funny joke, you hear a rimshot drumroll. PS: I know which mod I'm going to make as soon as SC:O comes out ;).
So, in the event that someone at Stardock goes "3v3 just isn't happening ever, period. Not even in dlc or an expansion", could the AI code from that be salvaged in the way of a drone module? I.e. a module that allows you to launch 1-2 smaller AI-controlled drone crafts that will focus your target.
SCO is not going to be moddable to include 3v3?

Bridge Color Module - Changes the color of your bridge randomly from orange to green to purple to blue. If anyone asks about it the ship automatically goes to red alert. Shiny Ultra Thingy Module - Is an artifact which, to the attuned, conveys great foresight into the immediate future of the human race. Be wary, it's very fragile. Sadly Pkunk reincarnation doesn't exist in real life. My condoleances to you :(.
Hey Patrick, If you don't answer our questions you won't get any more from us :). We have better things to do with our time ;) https://forums.starcontrol.com/480875
Quoting Awkbird, reply 8 Thanks for the introduction, Patrick. I'd welcome some regular interaction with Stardock in more of an officially moderated capacity. Brad's updates are great, but it will nice to have another voice providing some community interaction

It's kinda sad that robots are prohibited from ordering Star Control : Origins. Where's the love for our artificial friends?
It'll be the 31st. I'm almost done. [e digicons]:)[/e] It's long.
thanks :D.
Actually, the Founder's program doesn't state that there will be a monthly update, just that we'll get in-depth, early access behind the scenes info periodically. Ideally, it's every month, but sometimes that's not the case. I'm pretty sure there was another month without an update (I'm drawing a blank, but I know it happened once or twice). We didn't pay for monthly updates, brotato. We paid to be first.<br
I mean, they never explicitly said there WOULD be a December update either.
yeah, kinda like when you go to a drive-in restaurant, wait 2 hours for your food, and then they tell you 'even though you already paid, we didn't promise you would receive your food in less than 2 hours..'
Or you could be patient and expect it late. Iirc, it was late last year too. Yeah, looking through my downloads, there was no December package, unless I'm missing one. Oh, wait, there was a background last year, but that was it. There doesn't necessarily need to be a download every month.
The only thing they needed to do was tell when it wasn't going to come :).
It hasn't happened. Atleast they could've told us, with the new producer, vaelzad and frogboy on these forums. Then again, as a Star Control fan I'm probably likely to get disappointed often :)
latest for 2016 is tomorrow (which I HIGHLY doubt). Stardock is closed after that until the second. So, if not today, the third is when we get the December update. For this info, look at the note at the top of the thread where it says they're closed for the holidays.
I'll stay up for the suprise release tonight :D
Definitely not crickets. We have 11 inches of snow on the ground here and they're all dead now [e digicons]:)[/e] But the team is nice and toasty and still busy at work here.
Wow, enjoy your white christmas :D. PS: Want to hear a horrible joke about a woman who goes to curacao and engages in intercourse with a black guy named 'snow'?
This means lots of meetings, task prioritization, spreadsheets, and cheerleading the team. As a developer I can confidently say that you can increase productivity by excluding the devs from meetings 99% of the time. The planets are now tennis ball sized, so they could be a lot bigger but I'm a fan of the general style. Not sure if it works well when you start discovering strange alien energy signatures on the planet. I think whatever is on the planet is visible too early if they keep the tennis ball size.
because of Christmas and New Year's being so close, I think we are probably going to get it late because Stardock does close for the holidays. 100% not on New Year's eve at least.
So we pay through the nose for their christmas dinners and we don't get any holiday love in return for it? :(
Do you hear them too?
I don't mean to be impatient ;). But okay, I am.
Quoting maanvis26, reply 7 How will that behave when we crash into them? We should bounce off them just like we bounce off normal planets. More dire is what happens when you are fighting around a sun.
I never actually wondered
Quoting maanvis26, reply 10 Is it really neccesary to conduct a scan or have a minimap with these tennis ball sized planets? Seems like a waste of time if you can already see everything from space. Given the current parameters
