F&P are no saints, but I still feel their agreement proposal summary is much closer to the original document than Stardock's.
I agree. Stardock agrees that the summary is very close to Stardock's original proposal. But that's the summary. The actual details are a lot darker. You could say (as you did) I'm sure P&F have no bad intentions, but the simple matter is that the proposal (not the summary)

They rejected that. So you have reached an agreement after all... why not accept it, even if coming a bit late? Oh my god, all you've done is move your ranting about SFB to another thread. This is an SCO Mothership topic. Lets keep it on topic. PLEASE make a new forum post called "Starcon is just SFB and here's why" so that I can completely ignore it and not have to come across your rants in every single thread.

I loved SC2, but I really felt the hard deadline grated against the exploratory aspect of it, especially if you're playing blind for the first time and don't have clear direction on where to go. Kavik, The difference is that nobody (and I do mean nobody) except you cares about any link between Starcon and SFB. We're talking about SC1/2 and SCO. NOBODY HERE CARES about SFB. Please, for the love of god, stop going on and on about it in 10 paragraph long posts. Sorry dude. But you just need to stop. We don't care.

I agree, although, and frankly, online fleet battles are nice and all but the game is about the adventure game and in that context the fights will all be local against the AI. So I'm not too stressed about latency in online fights since they're a "nice to have" rather than a defining feature of the game (IMO, anyway). (and it'll presumably be fixed at some point)

Kavik, I get that you're passionate about SFB, I really do. But StarCon and other similar games (Starflight et al) have a pedigree that goes all the way back to Space War, which came out in 1962, SEVENTEEN YEARS BEFORE Star Fleet Battles was first released in 1979. If anything, SFB ripped off Space War. I'l acknowledge that a lot of the ship designs etc in Starcon bear a lot of resemblance to SFB, and maybe there was some IP theft going on, but all you've been going on

That little screen-shake as the lander departs for the surface is friggin' incredible. Really adds personality to the whole thing. And such a smooth transition!! I'm not convinced there was ever any actual plans to make it, but I've said as much before and there's no point starting that whole discussion up again.

This should be canon. We were told there were a bunch of destroyed/slave shielded races we never met in SC2. There's no reason they couldn't have been SCO races. Even the Scryve were defeated.

As far as I understand the adventure builder, yes they could. From what we've been told you can create adventure triggers on pretty much anything, time based, encountering something or someone, etc. No reason why certain planets can't have an adventure trigger based on encountering a 2010 monolith or driving to the top of the tallest mountain (invisible proximity trigger at that mountain peak) etc. I'm really looking forward to seeing adventure construction in action and getting my te

I'm not convinced there's even going to BE a GotP. It's been 25 years, you might think they might have found some time in the last 25 years to doodle at least an idea or two about a possible next game on a napkin. But no, there's nothing at all, they have literally not started a single thing for a sequel/new game, and yet chose to jump in with their threats and lawsuits right as SCO's hype was starting to get to decent levels (and have managed to curtail that very effectively - nobody in the
