I just don't think it's worth the time to do it 5 times to get to the last level, it makes researching late game techs not viable and more worth it to go for victory with level 3-4 buildings. Since most games don't get over 300 turns anyway I felt it would solve the problem. I don't want to break the AI...I would want to be able to build whatever I want and upgrade it whenever I wanted, just like in galciv 2 and the alpha or beta used to allow it too if I remember corr
Thanks! I was hoping I was just missing something then, because it's a extreme solution. I just tried making a UpgradesTo tag in place of the current tag, and moved it outside the prequesite, but it did not work. I don't want to give up, so I'll keep trying. Thanks for the tip! Darca ;-)
Hi, I hope someone can help me with this. I don't like having to build old buildings before getting to new ones. So I want to be able to make a level 2 factory without having to build a level 1 factory first, that's basically what I want to mod. If it's possible, and I hope it is, please point me in the right direction!
[quote quoting="post"] I am no fan of Steam. hate Steam for various reasons i won`t go into here. In fact I tend not to buy any game on Steam or wait until it`s in the bargain bin before purchasing it. In fact 95% of my games are all off GOG. GOG does things RIGHT and ethically fairly. I made an exception for GC3 since I loved GC2 and thought it would never appear on GOG. Now I`m going to have to buy the game again! Thanks anyway for rel

What about global pollution. ;) (us the next big thing I just know it.)
One of the first things I do is mod the economic system, I am curious what you guys will come up with and what new things my fellow modders can build off.
This December there will be a random event with Santa Claus stuck on a asteroid. Saving Santa will bring back Christmas. Killing him lets you take his powers giving you unlimited range. And forming a alliance with Santa let's you use him as a special small ship to use in battle.
I want to be able to mod the games economy to the macro level. Right now things are micro, and they just add up to empire wide totals, I would add regional effects and whatever else I could code to the games government techs. I am not smart enough to add diplomacy functions so I hope you guys continue to make it more awesome. I would look forward to fleet comanders and other combat enhancements, always a good source of fun for me. :) What else...galciv had a lot alread

Everyday there is some bad news, scandal, or tragedy on a global level. How are we all not dead yet with so many nuclear, bio, chemical, cyber, and mechanical weapons win the hands of maniacs as well? Worst of all; we are the cause of our own problems, and continue to have as many screw ups as successes at everything we do. So how long will it be until the sky actually does fall for real this time, I am tired of waiting? ;)
Omg all that is missing, a lot of that was in galciv2 and even then building a map was a long process so I wouldn't dream of doing it now. I hope they fix this fast.
It's not a live until it can tell me and explain what it's favorite song is, and they would only kill us if there was a need. (Or a program fault or if it was intentionally done.) Because it could be intelligent but my not be cable of killing or thinking of it.
I always imagined it as a race between biomechanics/biomedicine to beat out AI devrlopment or we all die and have the world end up like it did in Wall-E or Terrminator. Because upgrading our collective gene's and capibilities is better than making a AI to do the same task. DARCA ;)
Well fellow meat bag, no machine has voting rights, or will. At least until humans invest in upgrading themselves biologically and artificially. Also what is stopping AI from being a capable intelligence is the hdd/sdd, imho. It's 2D like a book and works in straight lines of coding, our brains are 3d and have many parts disagreeing, agreeing, being silent, or making stuff up faster than any drive. That basically is the gist of it for me, if there are not DNA drives like
Well 2500 beat up 2499 and 2499 beat up 2498. It really is a viscous cycle of revenge. Lol

Someone wrote that crazy Sith nonsense in a book I got from the library once, every page had a note about some psychopathic phrase and thr preface had the sith code. Guess the art of war was a book every aspiring sith needs to get. I would so slap the shut out of the person that did that. Lol
