It really depends on how the glossy look was done, really.. The white-to-transparent gradient on top style IS getting rather old, but I really don't mind the shiny look if it was done well, like in the crystal icons.

Also...the site is primarily a SKINNING site, not a wallpaper site, there are enough of those out there already. Try doing some skins, it really is a lot of fun once you get going on it.. /me realizes he hasn't made too many skins...'still fun though

I think I know which one he means...but for the life of me I cannot remember the name... It was a medium blue skin, mostly 2 shades of blue, the titlebar had little boxes in the middle that made the transition from a darker blue to a lighter blue...if I remember correctly..

I recently got the microsoft wireless desktop (mouse and keyboard), it came with intellipoint 5...but, intelipoint doesn't have as many functions that you can set your mouse to as intelipoint 4 does, and, the mouse doesn't work with intelipoint 4, so..my question is.. Does anyone know of any programs that can allow you to control what functions your mousebuttons do? Heh, sorry, that was kinda hard to understand..

Hmm, I suppose I have 2...neither of which very bad.... One, is after I had installed controlpanel (whatever that stardock sidebar app is...it prompted me to restart, I did... When windows started up...explorer didn't load or something, took me a while to figure out I could do a ctrl+alt+delete, go to run, start something, and explorer'd kick in...removed that app in a hurry.. The other time was when my idiot brother got some virus of of kazaa...Windows would start up,

I have a quick question for those who are farmiliar with creating bootskins... I'm making a bootskin right now, but something is happening, and the progress bar image (the animated bit), is 4 pixels too short...bottom 4 pixels chopped off... Anybody know what's going on?

I leave my 'puter on, but lock it, so my pesky brother or his friends don't bother it...I also turn the monitors off... The only time I reboot is when I install/uninstall a proggy that requires it, or when I've been working with huge images in PS and my ram is toast...

Yeah, the idea was to make it really more artistic, but I think travis is right, the water is still fairly detailed while the hills are not, that can easily be fixed though.. Also, perhaps going even further and making the hills look cell-shaded or something similar?
