Don't the AI pilots already have a victory ditty just like SC2?

I just played the Earthling Cruiser in the new patch. I like how slowly the nuke turns now. I would like a discussion about whether the point defense is worth anything. I think that the point defense is great at shooting down other nukes and against the Tywom or Scout it helps if you are really close to them in a flyby and want to shoot down their projectiles so you can back away and try to nuke them again. Should the point defense als
I hope in Adventure Mode we get to fight in the entire solar system. As for Fleet Battles, I don't know how I can judge if the planet is too big or not.
I think the Crazy Cyborg Scryve laser should get better at shooting the Earthling Cruiser so there would be a chance that the player would die. I think the ships are already not balanced based on points. They are balanced based on rock paper scissors. I think the Measured is a good example of rock paper scissors with the Scryve. Yes the Measured has fewer points but it is a master of close range combat that can also dodge the Scryve la
The Contagion are not fighters, though. They're new Pinthi hosts, iirc, so it makes sense that they're independent. It's not so much a carrier as an amoeba.
Yeah I like that the Plinthi Contagion have unlimited flight time.
I am thinking of how it will work once it is actually working well, not how it works right now.
I know the Pinthi fighters can get to really high numbers if you don't start shooting them down, but they fly so disorganized, slow, and have so slow weapons that when I was a player using them against Crazy Cyborg AI I almost always lost against any ship because the Contagion were just irrelevant. So I don't really care one way or the other that Pinthi can have so many Contagion, they just need to be fixed in general. [quote who="Kavik_Kang" reply="5" id="3695231
My opinion is both the nuke and the black hole are retrograde weapons.
The Scryve AI is better at aiming the laser than I am. But I just told you that leading the target or sweeping the laser makes it much easier for me to hit the AI. I hope you try it.
We can't doge the nuke right now (not even with Measured) because the ships are not maneuverable or fast enough.
Crazy Cyborg does not only cause the AI to cheat (more HP, etc.) but also significantly decreases AI reaction time and maybe other ways to make the AI smarter. So if Basic Cyborg is too easy then part of the reason is the AI is dumbed down.
I explain in my Crazy Cyborg Super Melee v0.69 impressions how to use the Scryve beam. Lead the target and the AI will not dodge the beam they will float into it. Trail the target when you are moving in a way that the beam will sweep across the enemy and they will not dodge that either. I also explain how to dodge the Crazy Cyborg Scryve AI's beams. The AI gives you a fraction of a second to dodge before the beam activates. Also if you are circling the Scryv
The Founder's Starbase forum has been loading for me https://forums.starcontrol.com/forum/1145
Overview: The Contagion are too slow because they only hit the enemy ship if it's Scryve. The Contagion can catch up to the Drenkend but somehow miss when they shoot at it. Infection is very slow, which makes some matchups impossible but not all of them and that's OK. Plinthi vs Dan'nath is impossible. I complement you on your Dan'nath AI it uses gravity really well to keep me at bay and kill my Contagion. The Plinthi projectiles are ju
Scryve vs Dan'nath Crazy Cyborg is ok except for a cheap exploit. If you keep your Scryve stationary and wait for the Dan'nath to approach, then it is much easier to aim your beam and I can win almost every time with no damage. But if I move my Scryve around the match is ok because it is then hard to aim my beam. Scryve vs Earthling Cruiser is ok. The Cruiser moves rapidly through my beam so it takes 2-3 beams to kill the Earthling while their nukes us
Thanks for your encouragement and I already agree with you (I am just seeing how far player skill or AI ineptitude can affect the rock paper scissors). See this I posted before: "Measured vs Scryve is impossible, but ok. With more practice I think I could dodge all of the beam shots. The flak is what kills me every time. At best I get the Scryve to half health (but that means I damaged the Scryve a lot more than they did me). I cannot think how to improve this mat
Measured vs Dan'nath is balanced. The AI shoots its black holes well and even though I dodge their AOE still damages me. My AOE damages the Dan'nath too. I kill the Dan'nath about as often as it kills me. Measured vs Earthling Cruiser is impossible, as I described in my first post. Measured vs Menkmack is balanced. I kill the Menkmack about as often as it kills me. Paperwork has an AOE slightly larger than the b
The AI should learn to defeat the player tactic of keeping the planet between you and them so the AI goes straight for you and slams into the planet. The AI should not be so intimidated by my 2 Menkmack reinforcements that it goes and hides in the corner of the asteroid field while I stay on the opposite side of the arena where the AI cannot damage me. I am not going to play the Dan'nath vs the AI because I am too poor at aiming the black hole.</p
Slight bug: If you and the enemy crazy cyborg ship are on opposite sides of the planet, the AI fails to do a gravity whip and instead goes straight and slams into the planet. Then AI backs up and tries again. This is most obvious with Measured vs Scryve. The Measured can easily stay on the opposite side of the planet and make the AI Scryve hit the planet over and over (although hitting the planet only causes one crew of damage and only some of the time).<
Yeah I just confirmed with the most recent build that nukes target boarding parties, turrets, contagion, nearest Menkmack, and even Jeff. Nukes target whatever is closest. And the point defense laser targets them too, but does not kill them. The point defense laser only kills nukes and other projectiles like the Tywom blaster.
The MW missile would always be shooting at another ship, not incoming fighters or missiles because SCO doesn't work that way.
I'm pretty sure the Earthling Cruiser nuke actually does target Contagion, turrets, and boarding parties as of the previous update.
I don't need a fleet of one of every ship I'm doing fine with my fleet of just one ship vs an AI fleet with just one ship. Then once one or the other ships win I am able to change them.
A quest like that sounds cool. Are you sure there aren't fighters in SCO? The Plinthi Contagion is like a slow bomber craft. Since the Plinthi Contagion does not cost crew it has to be weaker than Kzer-Za fighters.
That makes sense. The Drenkend Carrier boarding parties are so slow the Earthling Cruiser doesn't need the MW missile. But the Earthling Cruiser does need the MW missile with the Plinthi Contagion because those are an actual threat. I'm not sure if the Tywom turrets are a threat. Maybe there could be two kinds of Earthling Cruiser? I like the standard one with the Nuke for 1 on 1 ship fights, but if there is a module you can put
Do we have a weapon that depletes the enemy's energy bar?
So the MW missile would be the Earthling cruiser's primary. What would be the secondary? It can't be the point defense laser, because the MW missile does the same thing. I think the Earthling Cruiser is just fine because the point defense laser does what your MW missile would do and the nuke is like launching a cruise missile to kill enemies far away to protect the mothership even better.
