Speaking of, I'm a huge fan of RPG games but there are rarely and space RPG games where you play (and fly) as a ship captain, know any goodones? ^ I don't think you can role-play during ridiculous cut-scenes... ;) Also, judging from the provided quest editor there's no "Karma" type of mechanic in the game which is potentially regrettable. That means RPG elements are planned to be minimal (ship & lander?).
^ I have no clue, you can't click on them either. Our fake internet medals are the same though. 2D drawing is natural and fairly fast. 3D modeling + animation is extremely time consuming and in the end is ALWAYS less detailed, less nuanced, less characterized.
^ Good as in Ok'ish. I agree.
^ Aha, it's a $35 game with two $15 expansions and multiple $5 DLCs... Not $60 at all... And you didn't PRE-pay $100 for it either.
TIL: Slapstick is a style of humor involving exaggerated physical activity which exceeds the boundaries of normal physical comedy. The term arises from a device developed during the broad, physical comedy style known as Commedia dell'arte in 16th Century Italy. Yeah, I don't feel like it belongs in SC. Let the song sharing commence: <p
^ Wow, fake internet points are thrown around.
SC:O is already on-par with matching or exceeding the ship count of SC1. If you want 25 ships, you should wait for the sequel , like we had to do with SC2.
But SCO isn't aiming at imitating SC1. It's aiming at SC2. It's not 1990 today either where there's memory, cpu power etc. limitatio
The official thread is almost always called "Month" update feedback. You have to be really bad at English to miss it.
Are you one of those that laugh everytime you hear a dwarf talk? Silly voices do not break my immersion unlike ludicrous animation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sh6PGp9G2W8

^ 'Cause Stardock decided to give you 3D aliens with 3D backgrounds in dialog screens instead of relevant gameplay features.
^ Couldn't disagree with you more on everything.
^ You don't see what? Same low poly, low detail 3D model that's inferior to 2D art in every possible way (maybe apart from couple).
She can thrust anything at me. That I can tell ya. /T
Who past tits? Not me. [e digicons][/e]
The girl in the end of the vid and rejected 3D girl are the same girl only with longer hair. Dafuq y'all are looking at? This is a great example where 2D coupled with human imagination beats any average 3D by a mile. That's what everyone asking for 2D aliens are trying to tell you, Brad. Don't waste your time on useless 3D dialog screens. THAT'S A WASTE OF RESOURCES. &nbs
So, here's my feedback: I really DISLIKE the type/style of "humor" in this vid. This is not the game about Tom & Jerry in space. SC2 never had that kind of humor. It absolutely misses the SC2 feel in my estimation. Tongue-in-cheek, sarcasm, irony, satire, please. Non of that "kiddie-lol-bullcrap" humor.. Alien fonts. Ahead of the game like a bawse. By "we" do you mean you and me? [e digicons]:D[/e]
Nolifers. Nolifers. (with tongue-in-cheek) P.S. I'm making my own update thread this time around in protest to abysmal search capability of this forum. [e digicons]:hrmph:[/e] [e digicons]*_*[/e]
Can we get more of the rejected art, please? I thought you were going to reveal the development process during the development, not when everyone is playing the game and nobody cares for it anymore...
