Heh, been a while, nice to see this one getting some attention again. She was probably my favorite after Ao & Ona. I might go back and tweak her abilities some. However, with Oculus doing the lightning thing now I may have to come up with more wind-based attacks so as not to trod on his toes. Or hoofs. Or whatever. Keep in mind that all of the DGs are supposed to be fairly rediculously OP at high levels. :P
MisterSurreal
I kinda dig it, sort of a cross between a General and Assassin. Would be tough to pull off, but if they could balance him I can see him being insanely fun to play. What about the name 'Chimera' after the legendary beast? Also means 'many shapes'
Scáth--Irish for 'Shadow' Fits him perfectly I think Cysgod--Welsh Skygge--Norwegian Umbră--Romanian Varjo--Finnish
I like it, it'd be a very different feel, however I'd make him a Light DG, so that he contrasts more with the QoT.
Plixness, check out the Demigod Master List sticky in the Ideas section, they gathered together most of the Ideas with links to the original threads.
I voted, but I'm obviously biased towards my own suggestions :P
UncleanBeast, thats sort of what I was thinking, but I went with Green and dark red to kind of visually diffrentiate from the Torchbearer's Blue and Orange coloring..
I never considered that Necessary for that reason mrappard. They're paralysed little children with insane psychic power, either one can control the juggernaut from anywhere nearby. If you REALLY want it to happen, I suppose they could teleport in a flash to switch places, but in my original design, Ona was always on top, and Ao always cradled in the left arm, no matter who controls him. At the level of Zoom the game normally is in when I play, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between
This is why I hesitate to even start playing online again after having not played for quite a while. How can you even expect to improve if you get kicked anytime you join a game for being new?
Not too shabby, unique enough, I'd like to see it expanded upon, so we get a better picture than just the 'Goth-angel-girl' vibe. My suggestion would be to tighten her role a little bit. Pick a niche for her to fill in the big picture and tweak her abilities to match it. As it is it seems she has the most in common with Erebus. Seeing as how Erebus is essentially a tanker General, and her abilities are more damage/buff oriented, you're on the right track.
Yeah, the main problem with this one is that he's TOO similar to QoT, both in the role he's supposed to fill and in his theme. Otherwise I like it. If you can keep some of the abilities and just change him to a different theme, he might work quite well
Perhaps every X damage 1 bound spirit is killed. X could also be a variable increased with either Remembrance or Focussed Summoning? (I would say thematically Remembrance would fit, but Focussed Summoning is seemingly getting lost in the excitement for the other skills)
Another option is to simply have a time limit on the Spirits, lets say the base time for a summoned spirit is 2 minutes. That should allow you to build up a good force of your spirits whil
Just about perfect scale right there, you're damn good at this. Like I said, the other child would be cradled in his left arm while the right holds his mace/scepter.
Hey folks, since coming back to the forums been looking over my old DG Ideas, decided to tweak The Betrayer a bit. What do you think?
Ack, no anime :P I'm thinking less Mecha and more iron golem. Holy cow though, you switched that up fast! On that last picture, if you scaled up the child figure to maybe doube or 2.5x it's size that would look right to me. In my original post I said the giant was about half the size of Rook, and thinking on it I beleive that is too big. Probably about twice to three times the size of a human adult would be closer to the mark. My friend is working on her own sketch of the char
Heheh, I was Thinking Willard, or maybe the Rat King from TMNT. I like it.
I like the mechanics, it's pretty unique. The only problem I can see is that he is thematically quite similar to Oak. If he were to summon elementals or undead or something slightly different maybe? Maybe change Agile to Air, Strong to Earth, Angry to Fire, Stubborn to ice, Haunting to Electric, and Greedy to Aether? Just a thought.
Hey, pretty awesome! The way I envisioned it, myself is that it was a giant of bronze and iron, covered in arcane geometric engravings. It is still human-shaped (or 'Hulk' shaped, with a very developed upper body and arms) with a shallow hollow where it's neck would begin. The kids are paralyzed and limp, with the one sitting in the hollow similar to your picture, and the other cradled in it's free arm, held like a baby. I doubt you'd see this much detail in the faces, but Ona, the li
well if you dont have a scanner or a digital camera, then you may have to use Kinko's or Copymax. Might cost you a couple bucks though.
Wow... been away for a while but I'm glad people like this still! Unclean, I'd love to see your drawing when you can digitize it.
He sounds fun, though I'm guessing the name and the sory have yet to be developed. He sounds a little similar to one I suggested a while back, with the ability to teleport his foes. Looking forwards to it!
Lugh: Primarily, since Harlequins are her primary form of damage, she needs to have a constant rotation of them. Having them automatically apear when she casts her buffs/debuffs seemed the best way to do that without ripping off Erebus. For how powerful they are, consider that you effectively need 2 skillpoints to summon them, one in Harlequin Danse, and one in Calamity or Fortune. Some people seem to think this is overpowered, others underpowered. I think that means I'm generally in
I find them funny. Oak had a couple groan-worthy 'axe' lines too.
Yeah, I realize that She might be underpowered, especially solo. Thats one of the reasons I made grace so good: to compete, she'll need a constant influx of Harlequins and to be able to keep her buffs and debuffs going at a regular rate. Her primary damage is supposed to come from her 'quins. Catastrophe will at least turn her Calamity into a light nuke spell. The crux of this charactewr is the randomness. I wanted a 'luck' god, who's abilities reflected that aspect. I s
Added yet another demigod to my original post, The Laughing Lady!
