Here's another one. this is an idea I had a while ago, but I only just figured out where I wanted to take it. I'm not sure how viable she'd be, but I think she'd be fun to play. You'd have to accept a certain amount of randomness, however, which may make her less effective as a solo Demigod. Demigod: The Laughing Lady (General) Appearance: the Laughing Lady is a blonde, well

Yeah, I play with my friends in customes all the time, but I do Pantheon a lot too. Like I said, this 'Clan Wars' expansion should solve this problem quite handily.
WOuld be nice, but it'd also put solo players at a distinct disadvantage. They plan to release 'Clan Wars' later this summer. It'll basically be pantheon for groups. That was both groups and solo players are taken care of. Should be cool.
lol, yeah, ignore the rook that's taking your base apart
If your team lets a TOWER rook get himself all set up at the edge of your base, you kinda deserve what you get. Host tower rooks aI play against are too timid for that though. The rare one that does can we quickly overwhelmed though.
Well, just downloaded the newest update, and now I can't get into a Pantheon game at all. Every time, it puts me in a group, and after a moment, it kicks me, with the message 'Droped from the game because matchmaking failed.' Tried about 8 times and no dice.
I agree some Demigods when stacked multiple times on one team are pure cheese, but untill we get at least 2 more demigods on each side, limiting a DG to one per team is counter-productive. Therefore what needs to happen is GPG needs to add four of my suggested demigods and then implement this. [e digicons]B)[/e]
I think this thread should be moved to the Suggestions forum so it can mingle with all of the awesome ideas there. I agree that a 'classic wizard' is sort of meh, but I like the totem concept. What about taking the 'Maid' visual concept, a female Knight, and turn the 'totems' into battle standards? The only thing is, how would be make the character visually unique and apealing?
Frankly I've never had a problem with a Tower Rook. Boulder/Smash rooks are much more dangerous. Tower Rook? Go around him. If he doesn't come after you whilst you are biting chunks out of his base elsewhere he's a horrible player. After a while, you can stack enough armor that even all his towers together just tickle. The only map a tower rook is any use on is Crucible. EVERY other map has an alternate route.
as was so pointedly demonstrated when my teammate dropped and you and Phantom handed me my arse, fixmyfavor :P
Heh, more anime than I expected. Not much up to stuff on anime myself. Oh well, 2 more from me. Malcom Reynolds of Firefly. Julie Strain in her Heavy Metal F.A.K.K. 2 outfit. (Campy-lame movie, HAWT chick)
What existing characters from any IP would you put into DG if you could? only 2 per post please. I have to go with Batman. And of course, his antithesis, the Joker.
Rift does NOT stun enemy DGs, only slows them down. they have 3 seconds to get out of the way. In addition, it affects allies as well as enemies. Yes it's quite powerful, but it has to be used carefully or you'll do as much damage to yourself and your team as the enemy. And compare it with other DG skills that do ~1k with a 1 sec cast time or less (Erebus' bite, some of TB's nukes, rooks hammer). I also need to point out that yes, retraction is powerful, but in the long run the damage
edited Kulea, the Time-Seeker to my original post.
Demigod: Kulea, the Time-Seeker (Assassin) Appearance: Kulea is a large female centaur. She stands significantly taller than her peers. Her strikingly lovely human half apears of African descent, and her coat is black with a gray mane. She wears light armor on her arms and upper torso, legs, and on the 'chest' area of her horse half, and an ornate headress in a tribal style. She wie
These are some interesting ability concepts, but in the end I think that any abilities that alter basic mechanics like experience gain and flag capturing wouldn't work in the scope of the game. This character would level up faster than other characters, and that is very unbalanced. I aplaud you for trying to come up with something unique, but I just don't see this working. Sorry.
Glad I could help. It is quite a bit better I think. Good Job. ~spoiler for the show Carnivale below, read at your own risk. Highlight to read,~ One of the most interesting evil character's I've encountered recently is Brother Justin, from Carnivale. He is evil, knowingly and willing, and his reason is that he is convinced that God intended him to be evil. In the beginning of the show he is a genuinely good and kind man, but events convin
Some of those look pretty neat. There are also a lot of really interesting ideas in the suggestions forum, check them out.
edited my newest suggestion into my original reply. check it out!
Some interesting ideas. However I think in terms of artistic design,'incorporeal energy beings' like this and the one other I've read on this board fall a bit flat. One of the great things about the characters is their personality and appearance. This Shattered One and the Divine Pillar sounds a bit... boring to me. I would try to anthropomophize him a bit. How about a humanout figure, formed of multihued glass. The glass that makes up his skin is cracked and brittle, with shards crum
This DG idea came from a mental picture I had of the character, it was sort of surreal and quite striking. The massive, headless brute carrying two crippled, creepy children. Why 'realistically' he might not be carrying the children out in the open, for the purpose of appearance and theme, it works out. The Kids are psychic, so they can probably turn any attacks just enough to hit the juggernaut rather than them The Ao Abilities are supposed to be overpowered. The whole point is that
Yes, I know, I have too much time on my hands. This is my 4th Demigod Idea. I figured I'd round it out, now I have one of each type for each side. Demigod: Ao & Ona (Assassin) Appearance: A headless, tattooed giant about half the size of rook holding two sickly, young children, a boy and girl, one in a 'seat' upon his shoulders, an
I have never been good with thinking about evil backstories really
I think the best advice I can give from a writing standpoint is this: very rarely do 'evil' characters think that they are evil. They somehow justify their actions and nature to themselves, wether through pure selfishness (I deserve to be allowed to act this way) or unusual conceptions of morality (The ends justify the means) Very few characters willingly and knowingly are evil, and those that ar
I'm working on a Hybrid TB build myself. I tend to go with Fireball, Rain of Ice, Deep Freeze (mostly for the lvl 15 synergy skill) Fire Aura, and then either Frost or Fire nova, depending on the match type and who I'm facing. Frost Nova is great for Tower Rooks. The trick is to switch often enough that you keep both of the switch buffs active for the majority of the time, and get LOTS of mana gear. With enough mana, you can pump out your spells almost nonstop, which equals a heck of
Yeah, I was in one of those failed games with you RA. Everyone was connected, but the game didn't start. Also, I just played another Pantheon game where it was myself and another TB player against no one. Not even AI. The game started with us vs no demigods. Free win for dark I guess.
I'm impressed. When I read the title and summary I was like "No! Flying characters will never work in a game like this!" But you seem to have balanced this demigod out very nicely. I could really see this in-game.
Thank you. Yeah, I had to think really hard about giving her flight, but I wanted her to be totally unique. The Angel reinforcements and Oaks spirits fly, so I wanted a Demigod that can move like them. Actually
