Well Mr. Price, the link didn't work for me. Said some thing about resource not found. Other than that, I agree pretty much with what you're saying. For attack and defense compares, I'd just use DEX vs DEX. If the two scores are equal, figure an average of 50 percent hit probability. Then, as you suggest, use armor to as armor and use it for protection, reducing damage. Shoot, I'd even go for tables alotted for each damage type. Damage for rows and ar

I find it a bit inconsistant, if not idiotic, that they can make axes to chop through armor but now trees in order to clear land.
Don't punch the wall. Dry wall is to easy to break.
I guess I’ll have to chime in since I’m so opinionated. I. The level of randomness I agree and disagree with this idea, and don’t particularly agree with Lavitage, except I can see where he is coming from. If I strike at an opp

My people don't know how to set fire to a structure or topple columns/walls? Like the houses have footings or foundations. Even if they did, you could still burn the structure, provided it's flammable, and bury the foundation. [quote who="RooksBailey" reply="16" id="2742657"]Agreed. Medieval: Tota
This is one part of the game I will compliment. The music reminds me a lot of some thing David Arkenstone would produce.

If you're about even with one enemy and want to wipe them out, by all means NAP with the person you don't want to fight at the time. That way you're good for 20-60 turns or so or whatever it is to focus on your enemy. NAPs in this game a
They also lack decent guardians. I've see them taken out all the time by AI's I walk all over.
With Spore, I think EA had to many fingers in the pie and Will Wright wasn't directly involved. Near as I know. Stardock, on the other hand, even though seems to have made a plop of a game, should continue to improve and change it. From my understanding, it's part of the philosophy of the compmany. So, it is like Spore in what you basically described. It is unlike Spore, in that it will change, possibly radically. EA would never do this or care t
Or just used essence as the stat, though some spells should use armor if it is a physical manifestation of an effect.
And spam cities. This will allow you to control resources but also create a ZoC to keep critters and others from bothering you. Don't sign non-aggreession treaties.

Also, why isn't there a ranged defense and attack? Also, why is the battle axe att 12, no specials, and the broadsword 10 with a bonus to speed? Axes are great armor penetrators and outclass swords in this regard. To me, their combat is mediocre. It's pretty much just their space sim with turns. Little to know specials for weapons or fighting styles or armor. I mean check out chain. Why even bother putting it in the game?
Has happened to me numerous times. I once trying to link up my cities with caravans but couldn't because Percipenee (or whom ever she is) had packed caravans in my city centers. There were 3 cities I could not connect. This also has happened with trying to build on a square, such as gold. A hero was on it, neutral, and I couldn't access it for several turns because the sod wouldn't move. Also, if any neutral is in a stack, you can't attack the stack. You al
Of course I have level 2 for the huts that appeared. When I researched level 3 dungeons, I had new stuff appear, yadda, yadda, but for the magic well and the ones that appeared with out my research, my notable location level stayed 1. Yet on the places that appeared when I researched the dungeon techs, it went from 2 to 3, as expected. It just never raised for many locations, such as this magic well, ever, in any game. It always lists itself as level 3, while I am a 1.

Also, for some reason the spider web between trees graphic for the widows appears as a large rock outcropping.
Happens with non-custom factions to. I have been using Altar alot and once my city reaches a certain level. I can't remove a building because of, "it would make the city non-contiguous," or some thing like that. It seems to happen once I plop down that special Library.
I also agree with Dagwood. I am always hesitant to go near ruins, etcetera, because I have no idea if I can handle what I find. They are an all or nothing shot. We need some field intelligence one them. Also, as a side note, what does a forest do for us other than look pretty and decrease movement? Can I use the natural resource for any thing?
I have seen a few different graphic oddities with this. I have seen a white, diffused grid appear and also what looks like an image overlay or burn. It happens, some times, when I open the tech screen. In case any one cares: Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3 (2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.100216-1514)
Well I can report that the Lost Library is still unbuildable in Beta 3. It is listed as 0 Tiles to build in the UI and will not appear on the, "dilapidated castle," used for the building. I can select it in the menu of course (clicking on the selection turns the highlight on).
[quote who="Frogboy" reply="2" id="2671002"]There is the way it is in Beta 3... So that's the way it's SUPPOSED to work. I think he means the 3rd tab on the results card after the fight. You can click on them to see loot and the log of the fight.
Unless you have a metal mine, no armor unless you tack on leathers. At least you can give them swords (I think they don't require metal but can't remember). They shouldn't call them knights. The term knight implies training with heavy armor and a variety of weapons and fighting techniques. These spuds obviously lack this. Maybe their mad because they are still landless and can't afford gear yet. If they sang you could call them, "Motely Crew." They at
Well, if I am understanding you correctly, you can already hold the control key down and left-click to select multiple units to move as a group. The only problem I have had with this, is when you mouse over, you only get one unit's stats until the end of the turn or some thing happens. Even when I get them out as a unit, I tend to wind up moving one unit from the group at a time. I have no idea how the group loses it conhesiveness though.
