The Download.com link says the last time the file was updated, was in 2007.. and still version 1.0.

The question of whether it works with Windows 7, was graciously answered by the screenshots! It's not Vista you're looking at..
I'm more of the "been there, done that" Vista user. Tested it.. used it, found flaws, bugs, driver problems, install and compatibility issues.. you name it. Not all third party app issues here.. this was straight OOBE. (out of box experience) I found issues with the OS people thought I was either nuts, or a true hater for asking about.. til the day MS release fixes that described the very issue I was facing. It has it's positive features. Well built start menu, all in one networking cen
I think it's the simple fact that Deskscapes simply checks to see if it's running on AGP with WinXP..
[quote who="WebGizmos" reply="2" id="1975155"] For most dreams I get this all the time. And when I click apply anyway some work. "AGP card detected. Deskscapes 2.5 is not compatible with your video card at this time. Please click NO or Cancel to read the compatibility information. Try applying dream anyway?" For others I get this and they don't work at all. "The dream may contain an invalid video type or a compatible MPEG-2 video decoder may not be present. Ple

Congrats!!! You guys deserve the recognition for the hard work you've put into it all..
Nvidia's 180 series is comin out soon.. any word on whether or not that version is going to add support to run DS on an AGP card?
A definite collection of the best icons to come in 2008! Well done everybody!! :CONGRAT:
Congrats on the spotlight, Jim.. a well deserved and respected artist.
Congrats Sweetie!! A well deserved recognition!! :CONGRAT:
A kick-ass edition to a set of themes that got my attention focused on John a few years back!! LED was the first skin I used more than the rest back 'in the day'. :CONGRAT: :HOT:
Ever since the release of Vienna.. your skins just keep getting better with every next one!
Fricken!! Sweet!! :CONGRAT:
Despite the A-holes who always take an opportunity to climb out from under the sludge they live in.. to make an assinine political comment... I've been to China. The country's full of wonderful people... so my prayers are with you!! (and... for those political numb-nuts, just like the U.S., the govt and their people are TWO different entities)
So...... in essence, it works just like Rainlendar, where you just unzip to the "skins" directory and then add them?
In checking out the apps that came with OD.. Dock is one that I've wanted for like, ever. But... I download a few from here.. all ending in .zip. I figure,.. eh, change it to .dockzip and the program will load it. Nope. Windows will ask me "uh, what kind of file type is this.. and how do I open it?" Going into Dock and asking it to import a package, and the app will crash... Something I'm missing? I'd love to get this worked out, cuz
Ok.... I'll accept that. Guess I'll have to get CursorFX as well. When we bought OD, I must have ran thru the list too quick and thought that I'd seen C-FX as part of the package.
Right on... one of our girls wants the NC theme, so I'll check into it when we get it for her. Thanks.
Ok..... now after running thru the apps listed again that come with OD 2008, one thing is missing people!!! Where's Cursor FX???
Ok cool.... we purchased the Ultimate version of OD 2008 yesterday, got it up and running. So I take it, we install MyColors,.. purchase the themes we want, and either install thru Impulse or by their own install app?
Just bought it yesterday morning.... There are a few glitches that remain right on top.. however, I'll leave that up to sending it off to the support team instead of wasting space here. I like the look and feel of it.. like I mentioned before, Stardock's UI for their programs is IMHO, simple..easy to use. The way all programs should reach for.
Quick question...... If we purchase Object Desktop, and then get some MyColors themes (kids love the college themes).. can we install them using OD, or will they remain independent themes?
As applications tend to get more and more complicated, when customers see an interface that's extremely easy to use, where one cannot actually get lost in the options.. is quite impressive. Good job.
