Whiplash, It's simply my opinion that this program, be free. You care to take more out of it and claim tears of pain stating I believe they all should be... get better sleep knowing you did. I pay for all my other Stardock products just like you do... and come this very next paycheck, will be updating to all of Vista's new goodies! Zubaz, Explaining an opinion to you, is like burning myself with a lighter and expecting something other than burnt skin. Pointless. Meaning, (and I'll
Morpheus: Calling this a collection of work by other people is harsh, if not slanderous. Stardock does not steal code. And placing several scattered features into a convenient location is a good thing. They DO offer a free version. If you'd rather use several different freeware programs, by all means. And no, I'm not affiliated with Stardock.
I am almost apt to break out Webster's dictionary and go to town on this comment, but I'll get to the point. Harsh?
Brad, I know you guys put a lot of effort behind this application. The UI looks good.. but, it's a tweaking program, and you really should offer it for free. Why? Process Explorer? Free with Vista.. just go into Windows Defender. Snapshots? Also free... Services? Free.. there's a service process in Vista's new Task Manager, and as always, NO ONE can beat the information that's been provided to all users for free over the years by BlackViper. Who has done a
Congrats on those that made it!! Extremely talented artists on that list... my apologies to those that know I am a huge fan of their work that didn't get in the list.. you know who you are.
Good luck to everyone,.... some of the fiercest competition I've seen yet!! :CONGRAT:
Congratulations everyone... great work!
Indeed.... excellent work everyone!! It has been an honor to be a part of a great team that not only inspires others to do their best, but encourages them to be a part of their work as well!
Personally, I bought Ultimate for all of the additional features that it had out of the box. For someone to feel slighted by an "Extra" that did not ship with the program is makes no sense to me.
Ultimate has more options than standard users will ever use. That's why there's Home Premium. Just because you bought the higher priced OS has no reflection on what other companies chose to create for other OSes or versions thereof. Ultimate is a combination of Home Premium an
From the olden days...though it was read, seemed to spawn no discussion. [link="https://forums.wincustomize.com/?forumid=189&aid=99731"]WWW Link[/link]
Hehehe... guys, it isn't the first time MaxPC has either posted an article in their mag about WB or recommended it to its readers!! Some of them use it themselves on their personal systems.
The Harmony WB was up for sale at MaxStyles for a while now... I'm sure it'll be available again soon!
Where do I go? PhotoShop and PaintShop... creating my own really. There are a ton of wallpapers... as it's really easy to do and anyone can get in on the ground floor creating them. My favs... obviously are clean. Mostly nature pics, or some that artists have created to go with their themes they've designed.
In the early days of skinning.. Luna was a template in which almost all other skins evolved from. That stigma, can still be seen in the majority, if not all.. uxtheme based creations. Very few ventured into using stylish start menus, but then came in the "gel" glam.. then I guess what you could call 'block type' glass. IMHO, no matter what an artist did with that, it was stagnant. Lots of color, and great design, but stuck in a static shell with no luster. The artists here, tended t

Congrats!! It's also welcoming to know that the site is recognizing and promoting the artists faster then in the past.
We've put out a few free premium-quality skins the past week. Solarion and Adamant are excellent skins that we've released for free.
True... I was pointing towards the holiday suites. The suites you mentioned are top notch!
I voted "Sure". The reason I didn't vote for the "oh yeah, love them holiday suites" was because of the simple fact that I don't believe they should all be premium suites. I know what it takes to create the suites... the time consumed by the artists that develop them. But, in contrast, even a top notch premium suite isn't necessarily as popular as one that was developed free for the community, by the community. We've seen a lot of that here recently.. You'll get more flies w
For the first time since I've been a community member and supporter of Stardock/WinCustomize... I am speechless! Seriously. Wow. All I can say, is what's been said already by the others... Thank you!! I am very much pleased that you enjoyed the work, not too mention putting the logon next to the great artwork from the others. But, I will also take just a second to say, Thank You for the inspiration of Vienna 2 and the photographer (unknown) that took the picture to begin wi
Messiah, you are only half right. You can download the trial version of Office Ultimate for a limited 25 use term. After that, if you wish to keep it, and you are eligible for the student discount, you pay 59.95 for the perpetual license that fully activates the product. If you don't, then you're up the creek without a paddle....cuz Ultimate is NOT worth $700.00.
Ok..... if anyone needs clearer information that this is a hoax...(Philly0381) WWW Link that article links to WWW Link in which I will weed out all the other printed material, and directly quote.. Microsoft was quick to debunk this e-mail warning of a Black Screen of De
Good grief!! Yeah..... the stupidity doesn't just lie in the costs of using a phone over international networks, everyone's know those high prices have been around since A.G. Bell first invented the device. If you KNOW you're going to incur a high cost of using your phone overseas.. leave the bloody thing at home!
And some here may think I have a hard time swallowing my pride!!! Anywho.... I thought I'd stop by and say CONGRATULATIONS!! to those behind the creation of Galactic Civilizations II. It was nominated for Best Strategy game in 2007, at the G4 GPhoria 2007 site (gaming site for gamers, by gamers). <
Cheers... to the man behind the madness!!
Maxthon and Xion Don't use Maxthon....but Xion, oh yeah!! Nice to finally see WC open the door for that program. I just wish someone out there would take a bit of time and show the skinners of Firefox a thing or two...cuz the browser is skinnable, but I have seen nothing that makes it shine. Disappointing to have a great WB theme goin' for ya, then open a browser and have it fall flat!
Congratulations everyone!! Well done....keep up the good work. With so many new ideas coming from these artists, I expect to see them push the envelope on creativity.
