Well, once you keep looking for long enough, it starts getting frustrating and there becomes less to look for. And then there're the times you click with them but they don't click with you. Statistically, my odds are diminishing. Good thing I continue to keep myself entertained even when I don't have someone to be entertained with.

I've had meaningful conversations that didn't involve breasts, football, or cars. And while I doubt I'd bring it up in conversation, I have no problem admitting to liking cuddling. And somehow, I doubt I'm the only male like this. At least I hope not. Because if I was, I wouldn't be able to keep women away from me unless I was hideously ugly. And keeping women away doesn't seem to be a big problem. I'm beginning to feel a bit outnumbered on this thread. Am I the only guy willing to defe

Well, it appears I'm a day late on this, but for the record: Most of us males worthy of being called males are good for pretty much everything females are good for (short of the obvious things like giving birth). The breadth of our capabilities would probably surprise most women. Of course, capability and action are two different things.... Oh, and happy birthday, Elf!

feline... "so you want sympathy for being locked in a room with Elf?" I could ask for sympathy on many things in my life, but that's not one of them, no. I'll continue to seek solace in the coffee (which seemed to disappear rather quickly this morning). Hey, can someone explain to me why I seem to volunteer for more things the busier I get? I'm either doing 17 dozen things at once, or nothing at all -- where's my happy medium?

One of 'em, the title character, yeah. This was Aaliyah's last role. She was also mostly done with filming on the Matrix sequels, but she's supposedly been replaced for that (by Samatha Mumba, for the inordinately curious). Sorry... movie rumors are one of my hoppies

Okay, this is just too overwhelming now. One person separates replies to two posts into four new posts, then the next has to post eight times to reply to those four ... I can't keep track of anything anymore! Here, I can pick this out: Elf, you actually expected Queen of the Damned to be good? You must not have read any press about it. I've wanted them to continue the vampire chronicles in movie fo

Java, that all depends on whether feline meows as much as my cat does. Hairballs, thankfully, aren't an issue (yet). Unless you meant feline's hairballs. I can't comment on that. And yes, despite the incessant meowing, I do like having my cat around. But anyone would love being in the company of anything as cute as my cat.

Elf... "How is the thread length all my fault?" Well, umm.. you started it! (Sorry, that was the best, most mature reasoning I could come up with.) Elf... "I say scrolling is a little sacrifice, Glen =P Can you honestly say that you're not enjoying this thread as much as I am? =P" Okay, you win. As long as I keep checking this from work so I don't have to wait for the page to load over the slow modem connection, I'm set. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smi

Doreen... Coffee better than sex? I suppose at 3:00 a.m. you need one before the other, at any rate. But I think you're either doing something wrong with the sex thing or something REALLY right with the coffee thing. And if it's the latter, I'd really like you to share your brewing secrets. Java... Sex or coffee in the morning depends on the time, for sure. Like I said, if it's early enough, you need the coffee first. If it's mid-morning, the coffee can wait. If it's late morning, I'm p

Java... Eight O'Clock coffee is decent, but they haven't gotten the coffee bag thing down. The Folgers ones are better. Thankfully, this morning I don't have to deal with either, as the brew is fresh. I accidentally added an extra scoop of grounds, which seems to have improved things. I'll be flying within an hour! Frog... Y'know, I just noticed that TIVO's offering a "lifetime service" plan. You g

My not-very-good cup this morning was the cheapo "Eight O'Clock Coffee" equivalent of the Folgers singles. And I'll probably attack another one of those shortly (if I do that in my next brief respite from work instead of check on here again!) Hmm... sunny here today. But probably too far for you to travel just to walk

feline hands glen a copy of the atless Actually, I'd prefer the "atmore," if you've got it. (Sorry.) All you need to lure quality humans is chocolate and coffee? Man, if life were really only that simple... but, that's why there are message boards. Running very low on caffeine today -- one mere cup of not-very-good coffee. It's gonna be a long afternoon....

LoidiBoid hopes this "Memory-Lane" topic ain't too dull for our Colonial cousins. Not that I'm about to speak for the entire "New World," but I for one am pretty amused. Not so much with the topic, but the language! I always marvel at all the variations English has launched. Oh, and happy belated birthday, LoidiBoid!

dendillon... missed your question yesterday, sorry! Too much to scroll through here (we need Msgboard Chatroom Marathon II: The Revenge ) Anyway, haven't tried WaWa's dark roast; I'm actually afraid I'd get even more addicted. I usually go with hazelnut or the caramel (which is good when it's fresh, but I'm discovering that's hard to find lately). I know next week's gonna be rough for me, so I may b

Okay, I may be wrong, but I think I've just been compared with Doreen's and Java's children. I'm actually a bit of a gourmet, and a snob, and extremely picky (I', picky for a living, in fact). But I just can't stay away from the fast food. But seriously, I do think their coffee is actually good. The only way I l

My only thought is that you'd need to design icons specifically for this app. Most (well, many) icons already available would start looking really squirrely if you changed their tint or transparency. Just a thought.
