Yeah, Blade II's even more violent than the first. Better, too. Glad I finally dragged my butt back into a theatre to catch that. And Java, is there any reason you're trying to give up coffee entirely? It's bad in excess, sure, but a cup or two a day doesn't do any harm. Unless there's a Java Jr. on the way?

Actually, I thought it was just most over-the-counter migraine drugs that had caffeine, not the prescription ones. I know what you mean about overdependence, though. I was at 10-15 cups/day at one point, now it's about 2. The headaches are bad, but you can do it. Just remember, there's caffeine in chocolate, too! So does this mean you'll be changing to DecafBrain?

True, $25 beats nothing. Of course, I got offered $50 by a non-profit and all I did for them is take their design and implement it in HTML. I let 'em keep their money. And since editorial is my field, the 1-5k will be a nice boost. I've settled on $250 for home page and navigation and $25 for additional pages ... we'll see if they bite.

Yeah, I was kind of surprised it was changed to a uis, which is why I was hoping this would attract the attention of someone with the means to change it I'd rather not update a skin right after uploading it. Unfortunately, unless an admin sees this and helps, I probably won't have a choice And thanks for the com

Not sure if anyone can help with this. I uploaded my first WB skin today as a zip file containing the wba file and four jpeg wallpapers. Unfortunately, it's listed as a wba file, not a zip, causing problems for anyone who downloads it. Can this be fixed?

Thanks for the link, Doreen. Of course, if I use the higher-end estimates on that page, my next toy could be a car I think I'm leaning towards per-page fees now, at any rate, but probably significantly lower, since I've only done non-profit sites so far. And yes, Jacedia, you did really get ripped off. Chalk it up to experience!

$250 for an entire site seems very low to me. Started doing some research yesterday, and a lot of places charge that just for the home page. Of course, last time I talked to this company, they were too cheap, and I ended up doing nothing for them. Two years later, they still have the same crappy website. And Doreen, problem basing cost off the next toy I want ... I'm too busy paying bills to worry about toys <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="a

Damn, nearly 24 hours between posts there... this thread is nearly dead, methinks. Seeing as how the T1 is at work, beer usually isn't handy. And neither is coffee in the afternoon (stopped those 8-10 cup days years ago). Going with raspberry-lime seltzer at the moment... (hey, beats dehydrating)

Bah... so I get to shout "500 Posts" from the hilltops, and it turns out I should've yelled "500 Replies!" So the 500th post was "Sorry, just can't resist this." What a waste. Then again, so are half the other posts in here, so I guess that's only fitting But this didn't load even close to fast for me. It's beginning to strain the T1.

So here's a silly question ... Why is it I'm just "Glen Eric Reed" most places on this site, but for the news item I posted today (which actually made it on this time), I'm "Sir Glen Eric Reed?

I think it's a girl thing since your wallets are bigger. I'm not sure I could fit 20 ticket stubs into my wallet Sentimentality, however, is not just a girl thing. I hope, if nothing else, you at least get back the non-monetary items. If someone did pick it up, they won't be after the stuff in there that actually means anything to you. (Not that money doesn't mean anything, but you know what I'm sa

Java... If I really wanted high download numbers, I'd just complete that WB skin. I think a crappy WB skin would probably get higher numbers than a good Dashboard skin. Elf... You seem pretty concerned with the lost sentimental value of the wallet.. what about the contents? Wallets are replaceable, and new ones will end up with just as much history. And as far as never having lost one before, there's a lot of stuff you haven't done yet -- good and bad -- that's yet to happen. I

Wouldn't I need chocolate monitor paint? And you're right, I wouldn't care. I'd be too nauseous. Besides, inspiration struck for enhancing one of my existing Dashboard skins, so I've gone back to that. I just can't pass up the opportunity to look like I'm trying to boost download numbers.

feline... I really have no intention of learning UIS coding. I already know WAY more computer crap than I possibly need. I also know myself, and know I'd eat, sleep, and breathe the stuff until I learned it. At this point, I'll probably end up with one half-assed WB skin just so I can say I finished it, then go back to Dashboard. I figure I'm 75%-90% done with that already. The odd thing is, I'm porting my "Skin at Pooh Corner" Dashboard skin, only there doesn't seem to be anyplace to p

Didn't think it was. Which of course means I can't do EXACTLY what I want to, but what else is new Still, it'd be real nice if I knew what the hell I was doing. Took me about 9 months to really get the hang of Dashboard skinning; not sure I'll have the same level of patience with this.

Oh, well now you're just pushing it. I'd be babbling more on here, but I've been trying to figure out how to use SkinStudio. It's turning out to be way more of a pain than I figured, giving me a new appreciation for the WB skinners on here. Dashboard you can just create a picture and chop it up ... WB just ain't that easy. And frankly, SkinStudio's not exactly user-friendly! Right now, I'm banging my head against my monitor trying to figure out how to change the height of the m

Wow... 44 hours idle. Is this thread actually dead now? Oh, wait... guess once I click "Submit" it'll be 0 hours 0 minutes and 0 seconds idle. Okay, Java... you figured me out. I'm just trying to boost my download numbers. Actually, if I REALLY wanted the ego boost, it was there before updating stuff anyway.<b
