I am pretty sure this is correct: Install Impulse if you have not already. In the upper left hand corner is a little tab. Check "show pre-release versions". OD2 should then show up.

A little off topic but the other day I noticed that MyColors Theme Ankh is advertised as being 7 compatible. This is cut/paste from MyColors: "Windows XP (32-bit), Vista and 7 (32-bit and 64-bit)" On application, I don't actually think it is compatible with 7. OK. Stardock makes a program called Object Dock. There is a free version which has limited features, and a version that you would have to pay for, which has many more features. Are you pulling shortcuts from Windows Explorer, or the desktop? If the latter, try to pull them from the actual source in Windows Explorer, that should normally work.

I don't know about the "rebuild icon cache" method, but it sounds like good advice. To fix a similar icon problem, I installed MyColors, applied a theme, rebooted, applied the Windows default, rebooted and that did correct the "stuck" icons. Used on Vista 32 bit.

I have found that if I (attempt to) load the widget/object by double clicking it directly in Windows Explorer, it will not work (missing dll), but if I load that same widget/object through DesktopX itself or through the Widget Manager, they then work. Once loaded this way, they will auto-load on startup if so desired. I don't know why this works or what the problem is, but I rely upon this method now to get mine to work.
