Last night, I updated Vista by installing SP-1 via the Windows auto-update feature. Since that time, none of my gadgets will work. For example SD launchbar, Pirate set of gadgets, Magic set of gadgets. I have attempted to run with XP compat plus as Admin and nothing I have tried works. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.

I spoke too soon Seabass (:( As per your suggestion, I have responded to support with below info. Today I uninstalled all Stardock programs from my computer, including skin library. I then reinstalled a new download SDC, and used SDC to gradually rebuild. Icons, OD, TweakVista and finally WB. Initially, WB worked properly. Now, several hours later and after a cold boot, I have lost transparancy again. To regain it, I have to unload WB, reboot, and then follow sta

Recently, my WB's started to no longer display transparancy. When I try to "vista-ize" the skin, it shuts down WB Manager. I have recently seen others have problems with similar issues surrounding transparancy. Today I uninstalled all Stardock programs from my computer, including skin library. My problems continued so I uninstalled all Stardock products, then installed Stardock Central and re-installed all products using SC. Everything now fine again.

I apologize if this has been covered already, it is not my intention to beat a dead horse. I see many comments about low ratngs, referring to the voting system. The drop-down menu for voting places a two-star rating over the download button. Anyone quickly directing their mouse towards the download button may well slide it over the voting menu and unintentionally give a rating of two stars. I know that I have done this. Has this been considered and if so, has thought

I too have had transparancy issues since updating (through Stardock Central). Even unloading Windowblinds and trying to revert to Aero gets involved and requires rebooting. I am going to uninstall WB and do a clean install. If issues persist after that I will come back with full details.

I feel the need to respond to the comments above regarding the caustic comments made by some about the work submitted and avalable trhough this site, and others like it. I could not agree more that this is getting worse. It is true that many people produce the work because they enjoy doing so, but the motivation to share it will be eroded with unwarranted crticism. I have only recently started to work with graphics programs, motivated to try my hand at it after years of using Stardock products a

I am a paid member (does that make me a payloader?) and downloaded and used the dock background. It was exactly how the artist described it in his two-word description.... black and simple. If the artist wishes his audience to view his work as superior, it would be helpful if he didn't describe it as simple. Perhaps on his next upload, should there be one, he could describe his work to better reflect its true splendor so we may vote accordingly. ;p <br/

I have been trying for 2 days to update WB6 to 6.00.004 and I am rejected each time w/error message saying the URL is invalid. Otherwise all is good. Any help appreciated. There is a definite improvement, but the WB preview pane still shows the old WinXP preview for the Aero installation. It does install Aero though. Other than that, it seems fine. To the best of my recollection, the preview prior to this latest problem did indeed show the Aero preview. This is certainly something I can live with though. Thank you once again.

I also noticed that the skin names were appearing over-top of each other too. For example the words Pirate Vista would appear over the words Nuage Redux in the drop-down skin selection box in WB selection, if I tried to load Pirate after Nuage (neither of which would actually load). I reinstalled backup copy and all good now. Something in the update didn't agree with my system.

I too get the little gap near the end of the taskbar, but only when I use "hide inactive icons." I am using Windows Vista, 1280 x 1024, SLI 2 x 756 NVida GeForce 8800GTX. I love the suite, terrific work at a great price.
