yor needs fixing again - they are stuck at 8 pop max even after opening the entire tech tree - nothing appears to improve their pop cap
well crap. I’ll take a look.
You’re the demographic that’s about to lose their forum access…
Can someone who has this program type in SOASE? Maybe we'll get some decent looking ships.
Charming. I'd love to study your demographic to learn more about what makes someone think it's acceptable behavior to type that online.
The scary thing about the AI stuff is that it's improving at a crazy exponential rate. For example, today, I'm working on GalCiv IV and I'm using Copilot (an AI extension that helps write code). Now, I knew this thing was good at code completion but it also auto-generated the flavor text based solely on patterns on how the other flavor text was written. So when I write: Conversation_Drengin_De [it interupts here] it then completes it with this:
I think you're on to something with this. Now we need a graphics wiz to make some mockups of the various characters lol. So, really, this was written by a computer program?
Yep. And what's scary is you can keep it going by asking them what to do next. I even had them visit Stardock and I joined the adventure (it knew what Stardock was and who I was).
Prompt: Write a Harry Potter sequel in which Harry Potter has become a homeless drifter on the run from Terminator robots from the future and a robot driving instructor whose best friend is a talking pie. Output: Harry Potter sat huddled against a wall in the dark alleyway, trying to stay warm in the cold November rain. It had been years since he had left Hogwarts, and everything had gone wrong since then. He had lost touch with all of his friends, and he had become a hom

Also, when it comes to the numbers, assume that we'll be playing around with those numbers a lot.
With the holiday break I'll only be able to answer these piece meal so no mega messages. :) With regards to fleet battle distances, we internally do have a meters distance between them. So then it's just a matter of deciding what the numbers are and then iterating until we get the feel we want. The ship class (not the weapon type) will determine range. I know that lots of people would like to see weapon range based on the type of weapon and not the class, but I thi
The combat system in the game won't be that complicated otherwise turn times would get huge. But each class of ship does have a distance before they can fire. For example: Fighters have to get closer than other ships before they can attack but their defense is much much higher against bigger ships. Ships don't miss (evasion and

How would I write a GUI skinning program?
What is the most popular skin for WindowBlinds?

We have talked about AI art. But the ChatGPT stuff is pretty amazing. Here are some screen captures.
Document, document, document. As mentioned, you have a number of people prioritizing, coding, and testing and all the other stuff those tech wizards do. However, a document/wiki/web page/coded hologram explaining fully the all the changes goes a loooong way. No sense in making cool changes if the target audience doesn't understand. I've done enough of these to know they're tedious as haggling with Jawas but it'll help reduce foll
