If you are wondering why the forums have been quiet so soon after the update, it is because we are hanging out in the Skype Star Control Founders group.

If you haven't joined yet, you should. You are missing out.

What would I have to do to set this up?  Do I need Skype or is it just part of Google or something?

Does anybody know if there is a way to rejoin a conversation on Skype?

A day after Brad added me to the Skype Star Control Founders group a few days ago my wife was using my notebook, had no idea where all these messages came from and obviously clicked leave conversation.

Skype actually wasn't running there, but Windows 10 seems to have a pre-installed Skype Preview app which I didn't even know it existed that anyways displayed all the messages (I'm actually glad that cars don't work like Windows, so my engine isn't turned on automatically every time I open the trunk).

1. Download and install Skype. (You don't need a camera or a mic. We're just chatting via text.)
2. Add Draginol (Brad Wardell) as a contact. (Menu>Contacts>Search Skype Directory...)
3. Wait. (Brad will add you to the chat group. It may take a day.)
4. If you leave the group, send Brad a message to get back in.

Advanced Setup: Use this to remove ads from Skype AFTER you have set up the chat. (It blocks some Skype functionality, like searching for Draginol as a contact.)

just sent contact request.  I don't know if it's because I spent money adding skype credit or not but I have never been hit with an ad in skype.  I am also on windows 10.

Well, haven't seen this until now. I will have to sent a request as soon as I get home. Look forward to working on a more consistent basis!

The bars that have video links on how to use Skype are what show ads. This method gets rid of them as a side effect. The end result is less screen clutter.

I'm kind of confused about people complaining about these nice, organized, easy to follow forums and then actually apparently preferring this single stream chat room.

I'm confused.  I clearly don't understand the social media generation at all.  That Skype chat room is a single stream of chat... and this forum is somehow the one that is "bad" and "disorganized"... It's like I live in a different reality than the rest of you.  This forum is clearly infinitely more well-organized and easier to follow.  I am really confused as to how anyone could think a single stream chat room is somehow better and more organized than a forum.

Am I using Skype wrong or something?  This makes no sense at all.  How could anyone think a single stream of chat is a better and more organized way of communicating online?

I am following the chat stream now and will continue to, I just don't get all the complaints about this forum combined with the love of a single stream of chat...

Skype chat is a bar that you can walk in and talk to people LIVE. Also, it keeps records of all conversations that "bar members" had and you can read when you have time even if you weren't online when it happened. Check shared pictures etc.
