Work on your PR, Stardock !

Once in a while Stardock gets bad publicity at Reddit.

#1: Supposedly CEO's porsche double parked at 'disabled' space: (I can't verify if it's his porshe)

#2:

It comes naturally for some people, but I guess others may need to specifically train it.

#1 We posed the car that way (it is actually blocking TWO handicap spots) in order to take a picture because it was offensively funny.

That is unbelivably offensive and is not funny at all! You are cruel and careless for doing that!

I'm not careless. Just cruel. :)

wow. i have a placard allowing me to use a handicap spot and i see the humor in the picture. some people need to grow up and learn to see humor in the world. it's obvious the pic was posed.

LOL  great way to twist and turn things to show what you want. (Must be a politician)

Post a pic of a parked car and shout out boldly your comments while on the side admit you dont know who's car it is.

As for Brad's post on the other page i agree 100%.

What's fun about it? It's just a car parked over a handicap slot... I see that crap pretty much every day?

The funny thing is that froggie claims to have wanted to block BOTH spots, and FAILED!! That should be enough to revoke his drivers license, no driver can safely drive around while being THAT bad at getting the car where he wants.... ;P

Actually, women blocking the isle paths in supermarket with their carts while loudly discussing which dress they should buy are exponentially more cruel than a car standing in a never used spot. What would be cruel and careless is parking the car there, while a handicapped guy in a wheelchair was standing there, then when he complains you ran him over just say "Well why didn't you run away then?!". Cruel enough for ya? ;)

I'm surprised the Porsche gets flamed this much. The sheer engineering quality beets that of pretty much every other brand in the world. Then again most of the flaming is just jealousy. I would have gotten it in silver though.

If you want to get noticed it's hard to beat "Arrest Me Red" B)

the red would be better if it was reflective

While flat or shiny black gives you a free pass in the dark... i've seen chromed reflections so crisp and "transparent" that even stealth mode doesn't scramble detection fast enough.

Holographic illusions turn heads -- i stopped counting the vandalism scratches only to slap a boring bronze brown.

It's not the car color, it's the driver.

With item #1, we took pictures of it for our own use. We didn't distribute it out. But on the other hand, we don't really care if it does get out because people who are easily offended are people we don't want to deal with in the first place.

I figure, every time some busy body insists that we need to be more "professional" someone can just pop up that picture.

I'd leave it at that...clear and succinct.

Any peanut who finds issue with it needs to get a life...or a brain...or both.

Why not worry about the smoke plume over LA or something VALID....I'm here at the moment and the smoke haze takes me back...to Black Saturday In Melbourne just earlier this year.....it was a lot hotter and more deadly..but Cali and Victoria share the honours of being the two worst places on the planet for bushfire.

[I now return you to your normal program....]...;p

Red is a good colour - it shows up luminous white on speed cameras... ;)

Awesome. This gives me a whole new appreciation for Brad.

Heck, if I was the CEO of a company... my parking space would be three parking spaces wide, with it's own shaded security shed and no other parking allowed for two parking spaces near my shed.  Naturally video cameras monitoring different angles of the parking lot as well.

Well  that was my brief day_dream.

To quote a former Marketing Director of my previous company when he was told he couldn't park outside a pub, "When you earn as much as I do you park where you f****** well like".

He still got a ticket (which the Company paid for...)

I think this Keenan Weaver kid needs to find better hobbies than skulking about the stardock parking lot.

On the flip side though Keen, I smell opportunity around the corner since you've got such a knack for this.

After 10 years of saving, you may be able to buy a car almost as cool as Brads!

2 days ago I was in Vancouver....found an Aston Martin dealership......I'd never seen so many new Astons in one place at one time....all those DB9s......

Who 'needs' a Porsche, anyway?....;)

The spots are legally required but never used.  The pic was taken well after business hours (that blue truck is our maintenance guy who doesn't get here 'til 5PM or later, well after EOB)  In the whole time I've been with this company, the spots have never been occupied by someone actually needing them.

yes.... aside from the knowledge that the guy in the blue truck is tech etc etc, no one saw the sun on the building, indicating it is quite late in the arvo

its possible he left work, realised he forgot his keys or phone or something, and swung into those parking spots as he ran in quikcly to get his stuff

... #3 I recommend that sad, bitter, politically correct people avoid Stardock and Stardock products at all costs.  We're dangerous men and women here who are always on the cusp of total madness. ...

On the other hand, if you are at least occasionally optimistic and understand that every in-crowd has its own 'politcally correct' standards for how to talk about things, you might still want to pay to play with Stardock even if you're pretty sure that you disagree with 'them' on nearly every public policy question.

Re the OP itself, I couldn't disagree more. PR is a scam in its own right and Stardock have earned far more 'cred' with this particular lefty/feminist/whatever-the-frak with a joke photo of Brad's flashy car than they ever will with formal ads or 'exclusive interviews' with the sloptrough of mainstream gamer web sites.
