I certainly am not an authority on this but xpthemes does state that wincustomize is a partner.
One other thing to consider is: Windows XP did not until a recent recommended windows update did not handle browsers other then IE very well... so if your using a different browser then IE as default make sure you visit the update site and install the update for other default browsers. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/s
That is doubtful however a prog could have changed some settings on you... tracking this down would be an evil job at the very least. If you have only encountered this problem recently might I suggest you try to "back up the clock" use system restore... restore your system back a few days maybe even a week or two. Unfortunately if this problem is beyond the reach of System Restore you may need to reinstall. One more tool you might try is the system file checker. Should it be a corrupt file t
sorry for #2 just type gpedit.msc in the run dialog box.
Windows XP has many features and security settings You may have activated this undesired effect by chance... although I do not know of a specific setting I can give you two places too look. Please note I use XP Pro and you may not have full access to these tools if you are using XP Home. 1. in your accessories menu under Administrative tools... did you disable any services recently? If so change them back to their default. 2. gpedit.msc most likely if the change was here it was done by
Well on the issue of Pcanywhere for Pocket pc. At one time Symantec did make available a version that was compatible with MIPS and SH3 procs for HPC... even if you had a MIPS unit it would run off the screen of a PPC... Unfortunately Symantec found little in the way of sales for their first foray into the remote desktop PDA market... so they have dicontinued it. Pebbles is a pretty good prog it can
here is the known issue strait from Stardock in there words "Version 3.3 and below of WindowBlinds have some compatibility issues with Photoshop 7. We are working on those. In the meantime, you will want to exclude it from being skinned. To do this, go to the WindowBlinds settings and go to the Per Application settings. Drag the pointer to Photoshop to exclude it." http://www.windowblinds.net/default.asp?page=wbfaq
exclude photoshop from being skinned in the config of windowblinds.
Doreen... I am not absolutely positive about this but... I am pretty sure there is a Pcanywhere for PPC... My friend used it on his Cassiopiea which ran CE 2.0 ... however that machine had a MIPS so it may not be compatible with ARM ... I will look into it and let you know... I know there is also another program that I have used its called Pebbles it is a freeware program for both palm and pocket pc http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~pebbles it is fully capable of remote desktop operations. give it a try.
hold down the atl key and on your numeric keypad type 789... you can play with the alt key and 2 or 3 digit combos to get all kinds of characters some normal some are not... §tatic
Hey Bangkokboy... sorry I was on vacation since Monday... I used a fairly low compression on the jpeg's so that the images were not too distorted by the compression... as you know the original images were Bmp's... I do explain in the readme file that there is a delay when switching between modules... I felt the delay was worth the great looking images by Treetog. <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.co
I will not argue anything about hosting I don't host files myself and never will... I do download mp3's tho... and you are pretty much right about Floyd and even now I have found some Barret solo material... ON CD! But I can not find Nick Mason or Richard Wright's solo material on CD I have them on Vinyl.
I would disagree that its lazy... its fair use. sorry about the double post i thought the first did not go.
Fair use of copy right permits me to change the format of a song ( copy it ) and use it for personal use ( on an mp3 player like my iPaq ) as long as I have a purchased original. so why don't I rip my entire Floyd collection ... well some of its vinyl so file sharing of mp3's is legal under some circumstance. I am not naive I know ppl download music they don't own but thats not a good enough reason t
Ok but the copy right laws in the USA and Canada allow fair use of a copy righted song. ie: I own the entire Pink Floyd collection and when I find the time I will rip it all so that I can use it in my mp3 player. I don't have that time so I can quickly download the songs I want and copy them to my player. That is not illegal I already paid for those songs, its fair use of a copy right. If the music companies have it their way you will pay twice for the songs once on cd and a second time to do
Many times it comes down to personal preference... and bias... of which I will give you both... I have used both palm and PPC... but I will only tell you about the positives of the PPC. I currently use an iPaq 3670 Colour screen 64 meg user memory, expansion pack with a 128 meg compact flash card... 202 mhz cpu that I can over clock to 236 mhz. What I use my iPaq for: I make skins on it for Dashboard a co
I have a program called "Tweak Now Customizer XP" it has an option to rebuild windows icons. ie: the wrong icons are being displayed for your programs, it fixes it so that the original icons show again. I do believe you can download the shareware version and use this feature. http://www.tweaknow.com hope this helps. <img src="htt
stop using kazaa with all that spyware and adware your bogging down your system... if you really need kazaa then just prevent windowblinds from skinning it by creating a "per application setting in windowblinds config" I doubt this will help cause I think your trouble is not WB its kazaa. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images
Whoa! Did anyone notice you can download programs from the web site in question... now I'm not certain about, Full or shareware versions but I noticed that the Dashboard program available for download is the Compaq iPaq version of dashboard (only available through Compaq ). Even if they are not full versions of the software I'm not so sure that they should be available unless the authors have given permission. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/notsure.gif" border=0 ALIGN="abs
Thank you both for your info... I'll do some searches on that converter and see what I can come up with.
Hey... I am looking for a lil' bit O' assistance. I am using winamp3 and I am using some skins that have winamp controls but they are not working.. I am think that this is because the path that wbamp.dll is looking for may be incorrect for this version of winamp. Does anyone have any ideas if I can update the path manually or download a more recent version of wbamp.dll? thank you for your time. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/bigsmile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle
Sir WOM hold down "Alt" then on your numeric keypad press 789 then release the "Alt" key = § I still find the CB useful on the highway, listening to the chatter or Truckers and finding out where those speed traps are... mostly Tow truck drivers have that info... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" b
Anyone here old enough to remember Citizen Band radios... better know as CB's? Well when I was about 5 years old everyone in my family was talking on the CB's. Me being the youngest I wanted to take part as well... only problem was I would speak to close to the mic and too loudly! So no one could understand what I was saying... My mother dubbed my handle "static" but I prefere "§tatic" <A HREF="
