1) Is a sequel going to be made by Stardock alone or TFB will contribute too? 2) Is it going to be in the same universe (quadrant, dimension, whatever) as SCO or Ur-Quan Masters?
The settlement post on F&P's blog ( https://dogarandkazon.squarespace.com/blog/2019/6/11/the-only-way-to-win-is) said that Stardock w

I think we all agree that the story should be non-linear, with the player choosing the order in which they can complete the story objectives. Aside from that, what I personally want is: - More dialogue and more story content overall. I managed to complete SCO's main story in less than 20 hours of gameplay, which is simply not enough in my opinion. - Make the distinction between the main story and the side quests less sharp than in SCO. Currently we have fully animated
I wasn`t talking about a sequel or crossovers. I was talking about converting/porting the original SC2 into SCO engine + F&P|Stardock could add some ideas to the plain vanilla conversion.
Well, remaking UQM in the SCO engine is going to take a huge amount of effort, which in my opinion is better spent on making a sequel.
3) I would love to see Ur-Quan (SC2) converted into SCO engine with some additions and tweaks both from Fred and Paul and Stardock. What do you think about it? Don`t get me wrong. I love SCO but I cannot sever me from Utwig, Kzer-Za and Admiral Zex. I would love to see their comeback in the 21 century. Considering that there is friendship now between SCO and Toys for Bob I do not think that it will be very difficult to do the conversion and

There are some particular minerals that are required to complete some quests, for example, uranium for an early sidequest in the Sol system. You'll know it when you'll have to save a particular mineral type for a quest, and there are enough planets in the game to make completely running out of a particular mineral type practically impossible. It might take you some time to gather enough, though.
The "Observers" are now known as the "Arilou."
Doesn't that compromise the idea that the Origins and UQM universes are now, well, different universes, unrelated to each other? Oh well, SCO already has some small lore elements from SC2. I guess that will be one more.
No idea without knowing which events and locations you had already triggered.
By then, I had already completed the main storyline, pretty much all of the optional content (well, maybe not all of it, but still a lot), and Earth Rising part 1. I also had all of the story and location mods currently available in the Steam Workshop enabled. I was still able to complete Earth Rising part 2, but, like I said, there w

I had some kind of delay before I received my initial story message for Earth Rising part 2. I have no idea why it was there, but it can make you think that the DLC failed to activate or something.

So basically what you're proposing here rests on the assumption that classic WoW is going to be a short fad that will decline very soon. I disagree with that, as I'm personally very fond of replaying old games over and over. Nostalgia tends to come back, you know. However, while it's easy to replay a single-player game (you just find your copy of the game, reinstall it if needed, and have fun all over again), you can't do that with an MMORPG (and any other online game, for that matter). Once

What exactly do you mean by "time portals"? I also find it unlikely that classic WoW becomes an alternate timeline that will develop its own expansions. The whole point of classic WoW is to bring back the old content, to make it relevant again, and to resurrect the old game mechanics that were gradually scrapped as time went on. Yeah, there are some people who hope that some content that never made it into original WoW (like the Azshara Crater battleground) appears in the new classic

Earth Rising Part 2 hasn't been released yet, but it's coming out soon. I believe that you (and I, and everyone else who has bought Earth Rising) should be able to play it as soon as it gets released.

Right, so you have completed most of the Aftermath (Earth Rising Part 1) content then. The Precursor starbases themselves are part of the main game's content, but each starbase tells you to visit a specific system. These dialogue lines were added in Aftermath. This, I believe, is the remaining objective you have uncompleted.

Have you visited all of the star systems that the Precursor starbases referred you to? Have you dealt with the attacks on the human base in Epsilon Trireme? Have you met the Gloosh? Have you met the unknown enemy flying Lexite ships?
That's not how copyright works. If it's an association issue, it's trademark. Stardock owns the trademark free and clear. The Star Control games exist within the Star Control multiverse because we say what is and isn't in the Star Control multiverse. If we were to say that the Star Wars universe is in Star Control universe, that would be an issue because of the trademark (consumer confusion) not because of copyrig

Prof_Hari_Seldon , I would prefer it if F&P hadn't found SCO infringing. That way both SCO and GotP could coexist (since I don't believe Stardock has a ghost of a chance of succeeding in convincing the court that F&P don't own the copyright to UQM). However, these "grey areas", as you put it, are exactly the problem. And while SCO's hyperspace expression definitely counts as a "grey area", the multiverse claim does not. If SCO takes place in the same multiverse

I think that yes, SCO needs more expansions. Currently there is a stark contrast in quality between the main story and the side quests. While not all optional content in SCO feels as boring and copypasted as the "wrecked ships" you find all over the Scryve Sector on random planets (why did you decide to add them anyway? It's already easy to replenish your fleet as it is), SCO definitely needs more good storylines - more exciting new races, more mysteries solved, more mysteries introduced. I f

I've been trying to create a ship back during the Fleet Battles beta, but there's one glaring problem I can't solve. I need to place an engine and thrusters on my ship, and there seem to be no options to either hide the thruster and the engine, reduce their size, or recolor them. When I'm trying to play my ship in Fleet Battles, the engine sticks out completely like a sore thumb, as it's larger than the ship itself. Is there any way around this? I've seen plenty of ships that don't seem
3. The game will let you know that you don't need to land on every crummy planet if you're landing on a bunch of crummy planets. #1 negative review source has been people landing on thousands of planets and thinking that's the way to make money.
