XP shellstyle.dll skinning tops my list. Anything other than blue luna-ish skins look like crap with the stock luna shellstyle glaring at you from the left panel. I end up using the "classic" style left panel and missing out on some cool XP features.

Actually more appropriately: To a surgeon: I have a sharp knife and a sewing kit, can you show me how to do a heart transplant? By email
To a carpenter: I have a saw and a hammer can you show me how to build a house? To a surgeon: I have a sharp knife and a sewing kit, can you show me how to do a heart transplant? To a graphic artist: well i have photoshop 7 and i cant do anything in 3d max! if anyone could show me it would be really appreciated! Sorry, but you must see the magnitude of your request isn't something that you get a lot of response to.
Didn't you try this already with the DreamOS thing?
Wow - if treetog's impressed, this really has to be something!
I just replaced mine (2.4 GHz, P4, DVD-R, Loads of Ram, dual flatscreen, blah, blah...) It's blazingly fast (even with Bryce renders). I'm running all the so called "killer apps" I choose, CAD, Photoshop, 3D modeling, video editing, all the processor intensive stuff. And these programs are all so mature that it seems unlikely that they'll add much more that will make such serious demands on PC's that it demands a faster machine. Of course I've said that with every new machine I've purch
I also have an inexpensive Olympus and couldn't be happier with it. If you want to visit a great site for camera comparisons head over to http://www.megapixel.net They've got tons of information, sample pics, specs, ergonimics reviews, multiple views of the cameras... In fact there's much, much more information there, than on any of the manufacturers websites.
It's rather involved but it requires familiarity with the Swiss banking system and offshore accounts.
I've been making "custom" shellstyles using Reshacker for a while to compliment some of my favorite WB skins and XP visual styles. It's not too hard, just replacing some bitmaps. I agree that it should be part of the .XPstuff section of .uis. Good luck working it all out.
I imagine your coding minions are working hard to fully implement WB 3x features, but what can you tell us about shellstyle.dll skinning. Close, not for a while, fuggedaboutit?
I posted it as a news item Crap is right. They just (yesterday) revamped the forums toa much slicker style and I thought things were going to better than ever now. Didn't see this one coming either.

While I respect your dissatisfaction, your "protest" is fruitless. All you are managing to do is deprive skin enthusiasts of your work. I don't know all of you objections to the site, it's management or members. And really they're none of my concern. What really bothers me is that you seem upset over ratings. This is why I despise ratings systems and opt not to participate if given the chance. They just breed malcontent. You need to ask yourself why you share your work? If it's purely f
Still down too. Pity sine I have a brand new computer needing all my favorite OD apps.
Maybe an enourmous "bug zapper" device instead of the sonic repeller
With Stardock's help, it's fixed. The problem was image file names over 50 char. long! Oddly I'd used the same naming conventions that SD uses in their default LUNA skin :\ - I'm surprized it hasn't happened to other skinners. I had just changed the word "blue" to "envision" in the image file name, which put me over the limit. Stardock is now aware of the bug and are taking steps to eliminate it. Sorry for all the problems, but the solution was one I'd have never expected.
Hover Inc. is happy to announce public availability of HoverDesk 2.50. This version features dozens of improvements in speed, resource usage and stability, many new or improved display effects, improved XP support, innovative task management and much more. New features (partial list) : <b
Ratings are highly overrated. It wouldn't bother me one iota if they weren't even a part of the site.
oops dbl post!
Not that I still watch ANY of these... Let's fire up the "way-back machine" and see if anyone else remembers: Peter Pottamus (hippo adventurere) Atom Ant George of the Jungle Super Chicken Magilla Gorilla Quick Draw McGraw Ruff and Ready Hector Heathcoat or Non cartoon crap like: The Banana Splits Sigmund and the Sea Monsters Land of the Lost H.R. Been there, done that. Breaks are good, enjoy yours. You'll likely find that you don't stop skinning, you just don't release very much.
This has the distinction of being the first lizard eulogy, I've ever read. My condolences on the loss of your scaley companion.
One more point, I think your style would work well with the Pixtudio "style" prominent in their last two releases. Dangeruss sez "Go for it!"
I don't think the Paypal thing would be out of line. But... Since you like doing icons, and there is a desire for some nice icon sets, a suggestion you might persue is to see if Pixtudio might desire the services of an iconist. You may be able to work a deal to provide icons for upcoming releases for a percentage of sales revenue. From all indications, it would be more lucrative than hoping for donations. By partnering with Pixtudio, you'd already have crossed the barrier of "pay for pixels" by
