hmmmm, personally I'm not feeling the fit with SC from Grimes - Easily; but that is not to say that the idea as such is bad.
Well maybe it's because i forgot to mention i meant only the music, without lyrics......or i'm just nuts =)

Not that i really care either way, i never got hyped for the game, will probably get it on steam sale sometime and i enjoy both single player games and multiplayer games, but please don't tell me HG/Sean Murray didn't just lie to people on multiple occasi

A big universe is usually an empty universe so i for one agree, but i think this was already addressed in another thread (not that i mind this gets said/discussed again).

I wonder if there's any room for licensed music from known (or lesser known) artists. I started wondering this after listening to Grimes - Easily and thinking how it really fits the SC vibe in my opinion... Anyone else think of any songs that would really fit in SC? EDIT: For clarity, in the case of Grimes i meant just the music without the singing

I have a really low attention span. Sometimes i check here routinely, then i forgot about this forum altogether for a week or two and suddenly i remember to check here again. Sadly my (and others) cries of not making things too cartoony going unheard also curb my enthausiasm when it comes to input, but maybe that's just the spoiled brat in me complaining =P
The fact that you only have a little bit of life, and it doesn't regenerate, is actually a part of how Star Control works
That just gave me a hilarious idea that you could have a race that procreates at alarming speeds to have the unique ability to regenerate crew at like 1 per 4 seconds, and when they are already at max crew every 4 seconds the oldest crew member gets jettisoned out the airlock uttering something

I would like it if you meet an alien race just as their planet is suffering some kind of catastrophy and you have to decide not only if you are going to help them or not, but also if you are going to dump (some of) your current cargo to free up space to take on more of them, or try to find out if there is still enough time to get extra crew modules (if those will be a thing in the new SC of course) to save even more, and then you have to help find them a new habitable planet. If you g

I already brought this same issue up in the planet design thread, but Cuorebrave worded it better than i could. SC2 was (to me) a serious story with a "realistic" universe and planets. The aliens were cartoony (English is not my native language so that's the only word i could come up with) but this did not detract from the serious nature of the game for me. I am left wondering why the devs seem to have gotten a completely different vibe from SC2 than (most of) the rest of
It would be cool to use ships from your fleet to explore planets and gather resources while your flag ship does the same. By doing so give the ships experience in collecting and exploring and improves their efficiency in each task. the less experience the greater chance they loose crew from ALFs or planetary events quakes, lightening, etc. That's one of the things that annoyed me about SC2 is that you have a big old fleet and they

They aren't getting rid of top-down, but they are getting rid of points.
Simple: The core gameplay is top down, changing the camera changes way more than getting rid of 16-point-turning. You say they aren't getting rid of top-down, but i'm going to bet that when you go top-down only you will be limiting yourself

I wish Reiche and/or Ford would provide some input on what they would and wouldn't change if they made another SC, i feel most of these "modernisations" are taking the game too far away from the SC roots. It might just be me though, since some people seem happy enough, dreaming of having different camera presets for each ship and hotkeys for different camera angles.....and here's me thinking "what was wrong with top down and just using up,down, left, right, primary, secondary? I for one dislike different endings, for instance Mass Effect for me would have been way better with either a good or an evil ending based on your karma instead of nothing you did really mattering and choosing whatever ending you wanted to go for. I would rather have a focus on one story, with one ending, and some subtle different ways to go through it like SC2 had. I think whenever multiple endings are in place the story is not as good as it could have been had the focus been
