20-year-old heroes have become the norm in movies, and it is often laughably silly
Why are you applying how the real world works to movies or, since we're on a SC forum, in a science fiction game? In the real world there is no evidence of alien life, so let's remove aliens. Also we're not sure if intergalactic travel will ever become a possibility so let's remove space exploration. People a

Ehm, i don't really expect the minimum (or even max)specs to run the new SC to be too high, so unless you don't already own a PC i see no reason to invest in a console just for SC. Having said that, i'd still like to answer your question. Since gaming has been my biggest hobby since i was about 7, i consider myself a gamer and have a gaming PC, Xbox one, PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360. Please note that this is all just my opinion of course. Firstly, my recommendatio
Its not possible to make a 20-year-old hero believable.
Completely disagree with you, can't recall the name of the anime off the top of my head (i watch a lot of movies and series and this one was a while back) but there was one where a war with an alien race was going on for years and all but a few of the old guard in the military had died, putting the task of defending what was left of humanity in the hands of teenagers and
Finding a balance of realistic and cartoony is kinda of hard, but doable!
Yes, SC2 did it, but i just figured something, they did it the other way round (from what i've seen so far at this early stage, of course). In SC2 traveling the universe (space, solar systems, planets) and even combat was kind of realistic (except for bouncing of a planet tiny compared to your ship), then you talked to alien races and they were
Sure, sure. But is there evidence that shows that Stardock is doing it? They seem to focus on the core game first and then release paid DLC.
And let's hope it stays that way, shall we? :) Things change, though, someone gets the bright idea that making double the money on content you already created anyway is an easy way to make some profit and before you know it someone OKs that idea, and then some smart person who bough
As harsh as it may sound: I don't care about any of your "story start" ideas..... As long as the music makes it as EPIC as it was in the original! dum dumdumdum, dum dum dumdumdum ...."an amazing discovery was made" TA TA TAAAAAA <span style="font-s
If you want you can finish SC2 in under an hour, and if you want you can also finish it in an even shorter actual play time if you start the game, get a few items, go to a quiet place in hyperspace, then leave the game running and go watch a movie. When you come back the Kohr-Ah will have killed everyone you still needed items from so you can just land on the planet and get them, then go finish the game. You get the same ending, even though nearly every sentient species you we
This thread got me thinking about Super Melee, since it is a seperate multiplayer part (or at least has been in SC2, no idea how this will be handled in the new SC) of the game....can we expect to see SC2 ships in there? It will have no impact on the story to be able to fly a Nemesis in Super Melee, just that some people who never played SC2 won't know its origin. Or perhaps since ty-ins are confirmed, the Orz could make it in (even though existing races deconfirmed....how
(But we do get all expansions for free anyway.)
Don't think that should stop us talking about it in hopes no one will ever get a bad taste in their mouthes like a lot of DLC these days does. A lot of companies these days seem to finish a game and then cut some out to sell as DLC, which is one of the worst things that any company can do in my opinion. cuorebrave's idea of having something in the game that does
!!!! You sound like the kids these days! "I hate stats!" "turn based combat is too boring!" lol, you sounded like you play Call of Duty. But you're older than me (34), so you win! And I take back what I said!
I doubt this is an age thing as i know at least one person who's 15 years younger than me who loves X-com and Heroes of Might and Magic. Also my wife is nearly 7 years younger than me and also
is just navigating to each planet in a solar system fun or is it just tedious? If it's just tedious is there something that can be added to it to make it a fun experience. I'll say that right now this decision hasn't been 100% locked down and is still open for debate and change. Also, just seeing the type doesn't communicate what is on the planet's surface. So even a boring looking planet may have something interesting hi
Since i didn't have enough money at the time i received my invitation to the founders party, i'm a bit late to said party. I for one dislike the cartoony planets and want to have my voice heard on that, but having read these 7 pages on it it seems they are already set in stone. Any comment on fundamentally changing them get a "we know what we're doing" kind of respsonse, and comments saying "i like it but it needs a bit more of X" gets a response that "X is/might b
