I do think lander combat is a bit dry presently, but I think that such can be improved immensely by potentially dumbing down the killer AIs a bit and making the more typical enemies encountered a bit more accurate.
There are a couple of ships that are scavenged sometimes that are basically useless in combat. One is a yellow ship whose firing weapon has no range and another is a canon looking ship. If we could get the reverse-engineer the basic designs of these ships we salvage and change the weapons for some which we have obtained during the game. Could be the super-nuke, the plasma, the death ray etc. T
Huzzah! Cannot wait to test this out at home.
I may be wrong, but if flak cannons are mini explosives that shower an area in metal shards and other debris... in space, would they really be effective? Wouldn't they blow up and then the metal shards would just drift forever outward, littering the entire battlefield in millions of small pieces of fast moving debris? Could be bad news for everybody. But, certainly you don't want the captain to be fighting the Scryve straight awa
I have still yet to get my Skype up and running, hopefully I can do that soon or the Discord chat would be ready by then.
I agree, some unique encounters or unit types to spice up the combat would be very much appreciated.
Personally, on the next update I would love to see some more information on the extent of customization, applying both to your star ship and Super Melee. We have received a little insight into this, but I am always dying to know more!
Sounds neat! Are there any absolute minimum requirements? Like time involved on forums or such?
Quasi-space could become the actual fast-travel mechanic... Just sayin'
I would much prefer Discord, as it is accessible in all areas that I work, and is available to all my devices, as opposed to Skype.
Ah, I thought it was something new, well, I have seen that and am quite excited from what I see. Although the current landscape does look a little sparse, though that could very well be due to the early stage this demonstration is in.
Am I the only one who is unable to see the new Gameplay Trailer? Or am I just missing the obvious about where it is?
I really need to join, but I have rarely used Skype before, this will be interesting to say the least.
Looks quite interesting, I will have to keep an eye on it! Wishing your project well, hopefully it will prove to be successful.
Well, haven't seen this until now. I will have to sent a request as soon as I get home. Look forward to working on a more consistent basis!
lol..the only responses we ever get are 1) saying our opinions don't matter because we don't have enough data and 2) threats. This entire program is a joke.
This is extremely hypocritical coming from someone who just hammered against someone for posting their opinions in a place other than the "Official" thread. Also, no where have I ever seen the developers saying that our opinions don'
Wow, why couldn't the Star Control Reboot trailer be as cool and epic looking as the new GalCiv expansion that just debuted?? https://www.galciv3.com/crusade The SC trailer looks so underwhelming and basic after that, knowing what Stardock is capable of. And GalCiv: Crusade has a cool looking female captain as well! I'm jealous! The story star
Here we are! First of all, I have to say that I agree 100% with the notion that Winter is the best time to get work done, no guilt = maximum productivity! [e digicons][/e] On a more analytical note, a great update and it is exceptionally helpful to see more insight into the struggles and structure of the game at its current state. One comment I do have on Super Melee in particular is that the UI looks a little bland, with a lot of
I want a module that will ban/kill that IBNobody, gah, what a monster. Maybe we can blow it up Sa-Matra style?
Quoting The_Think_Tank, reply 179 To sum, I am fine with an auto-mine module as long as it isn't so obviously superior to manually mining and requires a significant resource investment to acquire. Don't want to mine? That is fine, but it will be achieved at the cost o
2. If you are saying that a ship configured for auto-mining would not be as powerful as a ship set up for combat, I agree with that. You have to min-max your ship design for the role you want at the time. I would replace cargo holds with generators when I was about to take on a tough enemy. If you are saying that the game needs to permanently make you decide between auto-mining and combat ability, I refu
Quoting The_Think_Tank, reply 159 I do disagree with the notion that there should be an upgrade to give you all the benefits of the puzzle while not even doing it in the first place, as that would essentially grant free technology and resources with no drawback.
