Sorry about the double-post. Wincustomize told me that I timed out the first time.

I'm curious about something: Has WindowBlinds Vista been able to control the glass semi-transparency natively (as in through whatever engine Vista uses to manipulate the glass effect)? If not, has WindowBlinds Vista been able to recreate the same glass effect that is currently possible with WB? And, lastly, if WB can create glass--but not natively--then how does the memory used to create this effect compare with Vista's own method?
Is there a difference in the new "b" build?
Updated his drivers, still won't work =P.
My brother still can't get it to run for some reason. He copied the activate.exe in (as I had to do), but still no go. ----------------------------------- WindowBlinds 5 BETA Troubleshooting Report: STATUS : WB+ SRV+ HLP+ UI+ WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC. WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC Your machine supports per pixel borders on WindowBlinds
WB5 doesn't work just yet on x64. But I think we can expect full support from SD for x64. So if I were you, I'd stick with preparing that 64-bit, but not installing it quite yet . Soon, I hope, soon .
The Cliff-Walking Fool. You can go into settings in Stardock Central and uncheck pre-alpha releases or whatever it says. Then update and update WindowBlinds4 and it'll downgrade itself to 4.6. Good luck.
Whoa. I pasted activate.exe into the folder and it worked fine. Amazing. Brad, everyone else at SD, this update is amazing. Can't wait till you get it working on x64 so that I can use it on my main compy. /me bows down before you.
Sounds good, and it's great that SD is making these fixes so quickly. On this fourth computer, I still haven't gotten the new version to work. In the troubleshooting section it says that the product isn't activated. However, when I go to OD to activate it, it gives me an "Error 5." If I right-click the WB4 entry, activated is grayed out. What is the problem? Additionally: Could this be the problem? I mean...The fact that
I thought it was clear that x64 doesn't work. Next time you say you're running an Athlon64, regardless of the number, SAY WHETHER OR NOT YOU'RE RUNNING WINDOWS XP x64 EDITION!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Otherwise, you're just getting the hopes up for people like me.
Great update, dwax . I hope you're enjoying AMD's power and the beauty of Windows XP (hopefully with the enhancement of WindowBlinds 4.6? ).
Has anyone had specific problems after rundll crashes?
I've read on the front page of WC that you have now said that 64-bit won't work, and in the readme you said x64 will be available with beta 2. I believe this, and am quite ecstatic about it. Just one question, and I'm pretty sure you already know what it is. When is beta 2 supposed to be released?
dwax, I take back what I said. It's unclear whether or not you have x64 (is MCE even in x64 yet?). If you're running 32-bit, then there's a good chance that WB5 will work. Try it out. Worst case scenario, just downgrade back to 4.6.
Brad: I wasn't at all upset, even while writing that message about why iotc or whatever his name was correct. While I do feel privileged to get the betas and alphas from stardock central, I do pay for them, so it's something that I expect. You don't have to wait to release 32-bit until you finish 64-bit. I meant to state that clearly, and have done so now. However, I just wanted to read something about Stardock actually working
dwax, you will not, so do not bother. Wait for an x64 update.
While at first I was going to tell iotc that he's wrong for being so angry, upon thinking about things I realize that he is indeed correct. I already paid for OD. Assuming that a 64-bit version of WB5 is coming out soon, I'm not going to get too upset. However, what about all of the people who had 64-bit, saw those amazing screenshots of WB5, and immediately purchased WB or OD? They thought that they were getting WB5, but they weren't. T
davad, have you tried installing that "a" version?
Oh, LoL, I missed an a? I guess that's my fault, not yours, lol.
Darken, I think one of those cards is mixed up, hehe.
That's pretty clear. But most programs that say that they don't support x64 still work to a degree. I wanted to test all aspects and see if this was the case with WB. I'm pretty sure my last post says that WB5 simply won't work with x64. Pshh and you're getting all angry at me and whatnot. Oh, but thanks for the 64 update. I hope you're happy soon ^_^.
Of course--still doesn't work. Reverting back to 4.6. It's good to hear that most people are getting it to work at least slightly better after suggestedf ixes. I just wish SD would release an x64 version .
I've completely uninstalled and erased WB4. I'm trying WB5 again. I'm expecting this not to work and I'm expecting to revert back. Answer to the x64 question after reboot.
So the one configuration they said wouldn't work does actually work, =P. Is there any x64-er out there willing to try post #45 please? I would but I'm slightly busy and I can't stand the Windows Classic theme.
Could someone else (preferably someone on x64 =P) test out siniik's method and see what happens?
