If you're going to be like "this program R0X0RZ for me!" then you need to at least post your computer specs. It's pretty hard for Stardock if they have nothing to work off of. They need to know what is causing the problems, and what allows things to work fine.

The sooner anyone from Stardock could just mention a few possible problems and/or (preferably) solutions, that would be great. I know I can't expect a simple solution because I've got x64, but there are other folks out there who still need help. And I'd still like to know when WB5 for x64 will be released .

Now I don't even see anything in common with people. Just a side note, it was listed that someone had a Radeon 9800 PRO and it didn't work. Mine is the same. But I'm also on 64-bit, so what do I know. Oh, just so you all know, I reverted back to the old, stable 4.6 version. I still have that Arrow theme. It looks pretty sweet, even without the transparency. Problem on the bottom right (the system tray), but other than that it's pretty

Are you on 32-bit? What Service Packs do you have installed? 2 monitors could be a problem, as I already listed. Have you tried rebooting again? And, lastly, why on earth are you on a 1.6ghz computer and using a sweet card like the 9700?

Is there anyone who doesn't have the FX series card, has Windows XP 32-bit, has only one monitor listed, and whose machine supports per pixel borders? I'm wondering if the problem is any combination of what I listed.

I just tried to run it on my brother's computer. His graphics card is only like 64-MB. On his computer, WB is installed correctly, but per-pixel is disabled (because it says it isn't able to do it). Still won't work. On my other brother's computer (he has a fairly new computer, good graphics card..not quite sure what it is, but I'll add it in a minute). Everything in troubleshooting is fine. Except it still won't work. <b

Thanks for the notice, Brad. When can we expect an x64 version? WB5 looks amazing, and I'm considering backing down to 32 JUST for that. But if a version is coming out soon, I won't bother. P.S. - Next time tell me before I install it, silly =P.

I just upgraded my WindowBlinds to 5.0. It just put my computer into Windows Classic mode. I restarted. Same thing. I checked troubleshooting, and it gave me this message: ------------------- WindowBlinds 5 BETA Troubleshooting Report: WindowBlinds is not installed correctly on this PC. If you did not reboot after installing WindowBlinds 5 for the first time, then please reboot and try this again. Your m

This is all so weird, so sketchy. Something is obviously going on, and I certainly hope that it's some sort of misunderstanding or something. However, I do think that before we go ranting about this and that and why we'll miss Jark and who will miss him the most, we first need to acknowledge what it is that has caused him to be "removed." Also--and, please, take no offense by this, as I mean absolutely none--onestar's mission seems sort of

I've read several things about DesktopX. Most people seem to agree that it is, technologically, the most advanced desktop enhancement software out there. Those who are informed of DX and all the other options and STILL choose Konfabulator all tend to say things like "it is just so sleek..." The problem isn't the software, because DX is winning that race. The problem is the look and feel. I'd consider maybe redesigning the look of DesktopX, and maybe create some new, prettier widgets

I don't think that DesktopX has to be running, so the overhead should pay off immediately. Also, Brad, I'm quite aware of that. I guess that, in reality, it doesn't make much sense to decline the acceptance of most of the widgets. I think that your sudden DesktopX push is good, but if you're trying to get people who use Konfabulator to start using DX, you had better come up with some more ideas =P. This brings us back to that case that comes up every once in a while, with the zealots who ref

After reading the JU article, I'm wondering if Stardock plans on focusing more time/energy/power/money/people towards DesktopX development, but more specifically widgets and the such. Perhaps Wincustomize shouldn't be accepting as many widgets as it does. DesktopX has amazing capabilities, and I see so many ridiculous widgets that it sometimes feels as if they're just mocking DesktopX. Maybe Stardock could find a team of people, or one person, to work on some more widgets and/or theme

Trillian broken into Pro and Basic. Maybe you should wait for 3, though, because it is almost out. And if you happened to create a section for Trillian skins the day that Trillian 3 comes out, you'd be making thousands of people quite a bit happier .

*Looks at the bottom right at the Aluria Software/Stardock Spyware Safe button.* Looks like you guys took GAIAStevef's advice. It is really good that Aluria is doing this, and even better that Stardock passed the test. I have a question...What if a website passes the test, and then changes their content?..

Brad, what are the odds that perhaps we could invoke a poll to determine whether or not (and/or how soon) Windowblinds should inclue semi-transparency. Even if semi-transparency is allowed, that doesn't mean that everyone is forced to use it. Semi-transparency seems to be the next step up, and there is no reason to set its release date back. But if people do feel so, why not try a poll? Even if the results won't be use, wouldn't it be nice to see? Think of the possibilities.

Haha..this is great! First of all, Brad, your post about fixing his paragraph, that was excellent..haha. I was thinking about how you'd respond, and between that and your next post..splendid! Unbeliever: I don't quite understand what you were saying to me, but as I've attempted to learn multiple other languages and ..know..no..other..languages..I understand how hard it is to speak languages other than your native. The way you posted was interesting..it made it a bit d
