Most excellent! Now this is the kind of Terror Star I'm talkin' about! It would be an ultra cool random event to have an opportunity to destroy a terror star thru espionage.

Not if a mod is done by a community of people and is not for sale. Perhaps Paramount might even author an official mod. If they then followed the lead of Maxis, they'd develop a role playing game whose characters could them be imported into GalCiv! You could even import certain major events from GalCiv into the role-playing version. I wish Neverwinter Nights would do this and develop a strategy game based on that world!

I think the starbases have a module which can have fighters which add an attack strength (of +3?) to the base but the fighting in the game is much more strategic than tactical so I don't expect it to have carriers.

Mirror, Mirror ================ A strange discovery in a remote quadrant releases an unknown energy force throughout the galaxy SWITCHING the alignments of all races! Research must be done on the object to reverse the event. But perhaps some races inhibit research? Things are fine just the way they are!

What I'd like to see is an expansion of the government side of things. This is along the lines of the old boardgame "Republic of Rome". Parties of the senate would be represented by individuals which would have ceratin attributes. You would have influence within the senate as you do in the UP model. There would be titles that you could get for your senators like gov. of some planet or sector. You would have to control the senate leadership to do some things from within the senate.

I looked thru the review and though people seem to mention that Chick "won multiple times" or "won twice" by doing nothing, I can't find anywhere in the review where he specifically says that. Perhaps MOO3 is moving too much towards a general target audience. Looks like GalCiv is trying to stick much closer to the standard set by Sid.
